I have a theory that it’s somehow connected with all the H1B Applications and processing of such. I know those are different departments but I have a feeling April might be slowed down because of that... or maybe I’m just crazy lol

We got excited today because we got a letter from USCIS but it was the 120 day reminder letter. It looks like a generic reminder note that we have to submit an I-751. Apparently they sent it in February and left off the apartment number on address so it was returned to USCIS by USPS. They resent it with apartment number and we got it today.

It it seemed odd that we would get an NOA before everyone else. Turns out it was a false alarm. Back to waiting...

You got a letter about submitting your I-751? Did anyone else get a reminder letter? We didn't.

They haven't deposited our check yet either. I'm not freaking out about it yet though. Checks are usually valid for a few months. If there's any issues, they will let us know. It's going to be a long wait, so stressing out for 17 months will only make it a longer wait. We just need to go about our normal lives and pray time flys.

Hi everyone,

My packet was received and signed for on April 12th. To this day, the personal check that was in the packet still has not been cashed (and not pending either). I see that for almost everyone it is cashed within a few days. Should I worry?

If you check out the google doc or read previous posts, there are many that were received before you....just seems that they are very very behind.  Add your name to the google doc and follow along and wait with the rest of us.

Was browsing through VJ and came across this topic. I just went through the ROC process and I just wanted to give you all some real time advice: forget about it up until it’s time to apply for citizenship. It is taking a year for I-751s to be approved. It is not a priority for them. Mine was submitted Feb 2017, approved March 2018.

I had already applied for citizenship before my ROC was approved. I just had my N-400 interview, and my 10-year green card was barely approved.

So, don’t stress. Walking around with that letter is annying, I know. But it is what it is, it will not come before. I have a couple of other friends whose case also took a year.

Focus on waiting and looking forward to those 90 days before your 3-year anniversary.

The problem is not the approved ROC.. the problem is that they, after 1 month, did not even cash our checks... and we don't get the letter at all.. they are just doing nothing at the moment it seems like.... I have no problem waiting for the ROC to be approved forever.. but we all need that letter as our GC are running out... and we all want to travel...

It's not really a problem though is it? We're not being deported...
