Just called in USCIS customer service to ask about biometric appointment.  My package was delivered on April 9th and  Notice date was May 22nd. I'm going to be out of the country in 4 weeks and stay out of the country for 3 weeks. I really don't want to miss the appointment. The girl confirmed all my information and asked if I have received NOA for biometric appointment. I said no and this is why I'm calling. She said it has been more than 30 days since they send me the notice (extension letter) and I still hasn't received my biometric appointment, so she will put in an service request for me. She did all her thing and gave me an confirmation number and asked me to wait 15 to 30 days. She definitely sounded like she was following instructions on how to handle my type of case. I didn't speak with any tire 2 officer at all. I'll call in again in 2 weeks if I haven't received anything by then. I will also make an infopass appointment with my local office in 3 weeks just in case.

I also asked her if I will receive an 18 months extension letter in mail. She said I would have to make an infopass appointment and obtain the letter from them in person.

Data point on travel: just went back to the UK for a week, had no issue flying back on extension letter LGW-AUS with Norwegian. In fact, barely anyone batted an eyelid.

- Check in lady took a minute or so to read over the document before saying ok, thanks.

- Border agent processed me as normal without any issues or further questions.

I do have Global Entry, which is now useless for at least 12 months :jest:

Here is an update from my infopass today:

GC expired last month... I do have the extension letter.

Went to Inofpass to get a stamp on my passport as I travel a lot outside the US for work and I simply dont feel comfortable with just the NOA...

Agent smoothly gave me the stamp valid for a year and no he did NOT take my GC, however he did do a tiny cut at the top corner. He told me to carry the GC along with the stamp in airports. He also gave me back my NOA.

This would be such a preferable way to do things from the start.

Having to carry around a piece of paper, which if lost creates a whole sh!tshow is frankly ludicrous. It's 2018

I was wondering if you've Global Entry; do you still go through Global entry line - even though validity status is unsure. I have Global Entry too.

I was told to go to the exception line, didn't go to the GE one. This was in Austin, which for international arrivals is generally straight through. My next arrival will be at Newark. Not looking forward to it. I'm really p!ssed to be honest, after paying for GE.

Out of interest I scanned my GC on the GE kiosk and it immediately said expired.

My Global Entry expires on year 2022; I used it only one time last year in AUH airport and could not scan GC at machine - so I end in front of line until office called me. I'm curious to hear why you were told to go in exception line - did you not take Global Entry card with you?

Also, when you say exception line - what was that exactly?

My GE also expires in a few years; I didn't get it in the expectation to basically be back to square one for 12-18 months though :)

Austin arrivals is different to any other airport I've arrived in the US internationally. Everything is electronic, no customs slips. So nothing I scanned worked, meaning I go to an exception line. I didn't bother mentioning GE as I knew there would be no wait anyway.

Might be another story at other PoE. I guess I will mention that I have GE when I'm in Newark. But the kiosk won't give me a slip regardless.

I kept getting the same error message. I even called them a few weeks ago and they said to wait, it will be updated at some point. What does that even mean? Either way, someone here posted this link, just create an account and  you will be able to see your updates. I did it and it worked!! https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Hi

I received NOA on June 5th, sent application on April 11th and still no biometric app.

Yesterday I called USCIS in CSC and this is answer:

Because your processing time is very long we are not sending biometrics because when time comes for your case it will be expired so you will need to do again. So we will send later when your case is closer to work on. Of course level of rudeness and ability to twist same words all conversation is so annoying from that officer.

Question: does anyone have same situation with no biometrics still and what he saidI didn't hear before so any advice? (My case is just regular , no issues before this ) Thanks

We aren't allowed to utilize the google doc as per VisaJourney rules. Been posted about many times in here.  From everything I've gathered, no CSC filers after April 6th have received biometrics.   I've called and was told somethingwould be done and sent to "action"...2 weeks and one day later...still nothing.
