Hi all! Have a couple of updates:

1. checked USCIS Case Status (within my account) - haven’t checked it in two weeks and it’s been updated 06/28 that they received my fingerprints at VCS. My fingerprint appointment was on 06/05 (Maryland). So it took them 3 weeks to update the case status. Hope this helps.

2. I was out of the country for the first time on the green card extension letter and it was just fine. I did call my airline (Aeroflot Russian Airlines) to make sure I can board with the ‘paper’ instead of the passport stamp and they said yes absolutely. I have another trip coming up in a month (Emirates Airline) and I googled their fine print page about rules and regulations of boarding - they do mention that it’s okay to board with the extension letter. However I will call as well just to find out.

Hope this helps! Hanging in the for more case updates though. Any year now 😂

Will they actually be sending a new extension letter or its safe to assume the extension is good for 18 months based on what is updated in their website

My response was regarding the biometric letter. We are at CSC and they received our packet on April 9th and my husband still hasn't received his biometric letter.

Responding to your question, according to the USCIS site they will issue a new NOA that states 18 months. However, I am slightly confused whether it only for those that filed from June 11, 2018 and after because later in the article it says those that still have pending I-751 will also be sent a new letter. Again, confused if we April filers are part of that "pending" or if they mean those that filed last year and are still waiting.

Yes it is not very clear . I heard that a person  did get their second NOA with the 18 month extension.

Did you call the helpline number to check as to when they  would be sending out the biometric letter ? I filed in VSC in May 2018 and have already completed my biometrics

Same, I am confused by their announcement. As per the biometrics, still nothing received when NOA is dated May 18th.

No, I haven't. They won't give me any information since i'm not the applicant. My husband has to call, and his schedule isn't conducive to being on the phone for a long time to wait for them to answer. I'm going to see if we can try and call them later this evening. I think the call center is open until 11pm EST? We are able to call and get an answer, i'll update.

I called twice and was told "oh yes we are aware of the delays , just wait more".

Hello Everyone!  CSC filler- After waiting for over 2 months I finally received my NOA with 18 month extensión about a week ago.

Before I got the NOA I scheduled an Infopass to inquire about my case so when I attend the infopass I had a receipt number but not the letter.

They gave me a letter for biometrics, I didn’t know they could do that. I went there asking for the extension letter or when will it come and what did i need to travel and all that, they only said your letter has been mailed you should receive it today (and  it arrive that day via USPS)  he schedule me an appointment and printed out a letter to take biometrics this week...
