I recently got my passport stamped but it was not easy. My GC expires on 6/22/18 and my Extension Letter will expire on 6/22/19. My extension letter took so long to arrive that my lawyer advice me to make an infopass appointment since we have an upcoming trip, my letter arrived 5 business days before my appointment but my lawyer still recommended us to try to get the I-551 stamp.

The officer called me a few minutes before my appointment and I explained my situation, he told me that if I wanted the stamp he will need to shred my extension letter because if I had both most likely I was going to lose the extension letter -_-. I promised him that I was not going to lose my extension letter if I got the stamp and that I had several trips coming up and I didn't want to risk to run into someone in customs that doesn't know what the letter means, he finally agreed to let me keep the extension letter and to stamp my passport. He assured me that I shouldn't have any problems with the extension letter and green card but that he will stamp my passport  just in case I lose my letter.

@BlueBuy

hmmm  :) so needed docs like NOA1 letter and Passport ?

Was he denied to go on the flight out of the states, or did he have issues trying to come back in? This is worrying. I was also told today at the social security office that I wouldn't be able to travel without the stamp. Although I think they are technically correct in regards to just needing the NOA1, I don't think it's something that's universally known across the departments. I'm going to try to get the stamp on my passport before I travel out in August. As to how, I'm not sure. There doesn't seem to be any appointments available 2 weeks out, and I've checked it every once in a while, and nothing.  This whole process is ridiculous.

try infopass around midnight for several days and you will have one

Hi ! So glad I found this page.. I am very concerned , We sent the package 04/17 and have not received anything yet. It’s been 2 months , nothing , check not cashed... I am concerned , most of people hear from them within 1 or 2 months. Not me... I don’t know what to do, I called and they said the CSC is very backed up and yet some people are getting their NOAs...

my GC expires in 2 weeks :(

Call them again. Multiple times a day, until you get a more viable answer. And make an infopass appointment

hi

any one at csc, end of April 2018 filer got biometric appointment ,

thanks

Not yet! April 9th filer, right before the backup started. Noa dated 5/22 received 5/29. Nothing after that. Can you check your status using your Noa receipt number? Mine says invalid. Wonder if we use any other case number to check them.

speak with tier 2 officer, email them at  csc-ncsc-followup@uscis.dhs.gov They usually reply within 2 days. I guess wait 1 week more and get the stamp in your passport, if they dont find your package cancel your check and send full new package may be by the end of next week. I think they are suggesting not to send new package but around 4/17, i think all files are cashed. Its frustrating.

Submitted our I-751 on April 15 and got our NOA letter almost 2 months later because of the major back log at all service centers.  Anyone else who got their NOA letters getting a validation error message when you try to search your case status with the receipt number?

This morning I scheduled an info pass for July 9th. My GC expires a July 13th . My job requires me to travel so my boss is freaking out. I just don’t know if they will be able to do anything since I don’t even have a receipt number , check has not been cashed, nothing ... I only have copies of what we sent and the usps tracking number.. I am getting so anxious is ridiculous 😥
