You done with biometrics? I have appointment on Tuesday at 3 pm. Can I go in the morning and get over with it?

Yes I'm done. Usually it is ok to go earlier in the morning or before that date if the service center isn't busy. You can look up in google "biometrics early walk in [type location that you are going to], and often you can see if other people attempted it at your location and if they were successful. Some busy centers do ask you to come back at your scheduled date and time. You can always call the biometrics location too, to confirm if you can come early. Good luck!

Does anyone know if you can use your extension letter to take off the restrictions off your social security?

We did last week! His green card expired in April.  All they needed was his drivers license, NOA, Green card and old ss card

Hi Guys,

I went for my biometric appointment on June 13th,

NOA 1 received May 12.

At the office they said to just wait until USCIS sends the green card or the next step in the mail. As I understand this is where the longest waiting time comes. About 9-14 months. But they were not sure if I'll need to go for the interview or the card will be sent to my mail.. Also they said I don't need the I-551stamp if I want to travel. Just bring NOA1.

Any ideas what to expect guys?

Thanks!!!

Not sure which center you sent to - but CSC is currently at a processing time of 18-20 months and VSC is at 13-17 months.  They will send you a letter should you need to do an interview and you should not need an I-551 stamp until your NOA expires, which is a ways out.  Just travel with your NOA and sit tight.

For CSC: what is the current wait time to receive Biometrics letter after getting NOA1?

From what I can tell - looks like no CSC filers (since the backup around the 6th/7th of April) have received their biometrics letter.  Mine was received on the 9th and NOA rec'd on the 24th.  Hoping to start seeing some results soon!
