The DHS website says 'Interview ready to be scheduled', uscis website changed to 'New card is being produced' about an hour ago :)

Fingers crossed yours changes soon for that peace of mind!

Our interviewer said it could even take up to a day or two for the approval to go through.

Thank you!! I checked just and it finally updated. 😊 Now I can relax a little. xD

During the interview, I expressed my concern to the officer about my EAD/AP card and why I haven't heard anything about it 'til now. He confirms that my application for it wasn't even on their system. (Eh!!?)

I didn't ask any more about it though since he said I should be receiving my conditional GC in the mail soon and an EAD & AP would be useless at this point. ._.

Question - completely off topic! Does anyone know where I can do a currency exchange? I’m leaving for the UK tomorrow and need to change my $ into £!  This is all new to me!

Who here still hasn't gotten their AOS interview?

I feel like we won't get our interview until next year :(

We also have not gotten our AOS interview, but I'm not surprised. From what I've read the Phoenix office takes a long time. So I'm not expecting an interview to be scheduled until it's been at least a year since filing.

And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Hey April group!! Hope everyone is well and getting ready for the Christmas holiday! :) Just have a question about interview scheduling... does anyone know if it's possible for us to re-schedule when USCIS schedules the GC interview? and what that process is like?

We just booked airline tickets to go back to India for a visit in March for about 5 weeks. I'm a bit nervous that as luck will have it, his interview might be scheduled around that time since it will be 1 year from when we filed. He has had the EAD/AP for a few months now, so we actually completely spaced the pending interview when we decided on dates for our trip. I'm just trying to prepare ahead of time so I can be ready in case that happens and know what I need to do if it happens!

Hopefully the interview happens before, but it's not likely. Our local office is Phoenix, AZ which is notoriously slow so maybe it will happen after our trip anyway which is totally fine with me!

We just asked for a reschedule a few days ago. We are also visiting my husband's country and the interview got schedule they day of our flight home :( :( We called the USCIS office and put in a service inquiry. Hopefully this is enough to take care of it......

Perhaps a local bank. You could also find by doing a web search "Currency exchange near me" and enabling location services when prompted.

The airport in a booth may be an option, albeit not a cheap one.

I think rescheduling is pretty common, you will get an appointment a few weeks later I bet.

Hey!

Yesterday my status online changed to interview scheduled. Assuming itll br for around a months time going off other peoples timelines.

Just a question: anyone had any problems with medicals? Having to do one again or anything? I've heard it's one year from filing the AOS that your medical is good for which it will be ok of that's the case as we filed end of March last year.

Anyone had any issues with this? Heard different stories.

Had my interview in Denver today as well! It was pretty busy in there, but we were seen within 10 minutes of arriving and approved 10 minutes later!

I was expecting my interview to be another 6 or so months away as well!

Congrats! I have my interview next month! New Orleans. Can I ask if you needed a new medical? Very confused about this lol.

Thanks!

No we didn't need any additional medical papers for our K1 Visa. The sealed envelope that was taken at entry is all we needed.

We asked the CO and apparently you don't need to have a new medical if you came in on a family K visa.

Good luck on your interview! :)

I think you just need to go in USA if you needed to complete some vaccinations, or if your prior one expires.

We had to go to the doc in Cambodia and also here in USA to complete the shots and form https://my.uscis.gov/findadoctor

From Australia, you should have a better record of medical history compared to Cambodia (NONE!) and a likelihood you already have required vaccinations so perhaps it can be avoided for you.
