How weird is it that all these NJ people got their interviews scheduled on the same date?

Yeah, I wonder how. Feels like they were all in the same box waiting for someone to clear them off the desk

From both Newark and Mount Laurel it seems! So weird! Post again when you get your interview letter. :)

Hello, does anyone know what testing and interview mean ? I just got an email from uscis and said my case is testing and interview now . Before my state was ready for an interview. My office is very slow and it takes over a year. I would be extremely grateful if I can have an interview now lol

There are some threads on VJ about that

I think it means you will have an interview date in the next few months, seems like only sometimes people get that notice.

Thank you! I don’t think my interview will be soon though. My local office is extremely slow :(

maybe their plan is to make us facepalm so hard we have to go to the hospital and spend a load of money on healthcare?

Oh man, I thought we would be doing these later. I'll gladly switch if we could!

Let us know how the re-schedule works

So we do not need to do a new I-864? I see the NOA asks for it with the interview, did anybody do a new one?

I never posted on this thread before but thought I ought to now.

I'm an April 2018 AOS filer as well (field office is in Denver, CO) and I had my interview earlier this afternoon. Must say, I was surprised when I got my interview date since it was much faster than I had thought. Even the officer assigned to us for the interview said he was surprised too that we got scheduled sooner than usual. I was honestly expecting to wait for a full year at least until I get interviewed for it but it was a pleasant surprise. :)

May 31, 2017 - POE: Seattle (B-2 Visa)

June 9, 2017 - Got married!

-

04.12.2018 - AOS packet (I-130 & I-485) sent with G-1145

04.24.2018 - Received NOA for I-130 & I-481 via txt & e-mail; Checks cashed

05.17.2018 - Biometrics Appointment (I-485)

11.13.2018 - Interview Scheduled

12.18.2018 - Interview Done @ Denver, CO Field Office : APPROVED on the spot

During the interview, I expressed my concern to the officer about my EAD/AP card and why I haven't heard anything about it 'til now. He confirms that my application for it wasn't even on their system. (Eh!!?)

I didn't ask any more about it though since he said I should be receiving my conditional GC in the mail soon and an EAD & AP would be useless at this point. ._.

12.21.2018 - 2-year Conditional Green Card received in the mail [validity: 12.18.2018 - 12.18.2020]

-

10.01.2019 - Moved to Rhode Island while husband is deployed to S.Korea

-

09.12.2020 - Changed address on USCIS website

09.14.2020 - Filed N-400 online (qualified under INA 319(b)); Called USCIS military help line to request expedite of application

09.15.2020 - Case received & application is being reviewed

09.21.2020 - Sent another request for expedite (via e-mail)

09.22.2020 - Expedite Request Approved. Received a call from Providence, RI Application Support Center: Scheduled Biometrics Appointment for 10.06.2020 & Scheduled Interview (tentatively) for 10.09.2020

09.24.2020 - Scheduled Biometrics Appointment (hard copy received)

10.02.2020 - I-751 sent with G-1145

10.06.2020 - Biometrics Appointment (N-400)

10.16.2020 - Received NOA for I-751 via txt; Credit Card charged

10.26.2020 - Received NOA , Biometrics reused

11.02.2020 - Interview scheduled for both I-751 & N-400

11.03.2020 - Interview Done @ Providence, RI Filed Office: APPROVED w/ same day Oath Ceremony - I'm officially a US Citizen! :D

Had my interview in Denver today as well! It was pretty busy in there, but we were seen within 10 minutes of arriving and approved 10 minutes later!

I was expecting my interview to be another 6 or so months away as well!

Congrats!! And our experience was also the same. The interview went so fast and without any issues at all, it was honestly a relief. lol

If you don't mind me asking, is your case status online updated at all? Or does it still stay "Interview Was Scheduled"?

I heard of people having their online status updated as soon as they finished with the interview but mine hasn't yet so it worries me a bit. Kinda eager to have actual confirmation than just the officer telling us we were approved. xD

The DHS website says 'Interview ready to be scheduled', uscis website changed to 'New card is being produced' about an hour ago :)

Fingers crossed yours changes soon for that peace of mind!

Our interviewer said it could even take up to a day or two for the approval to go through.

Congrats as well!
