On October 22nd I also got a letter through saying that my EAD/AP had been approved. The letter said that they would send my card separately. My case online never changed either, it still says “case recieved”

I have not recieved my EAD-AP card STILL.

However, I have my AOS interview tomorrow.

Interview is better than EAD hahah

Hello, guys, without any update in my uscis account, I got two approval letters for my EAD and AP. Anyone knows when I will get the actual EAD card ? Thanks !

Ours only took a few days in the mail.

hi guys!! Can you guys share your crossing with AP Card experiences, We are 50/50 on traveling in Dec. My husband hasn't seen he's family in 1.5 year, it would be nice to travel to mexico. Any opinion, suggestions, and advice would be very very helpful! :)

I can just say that I was somewhat afraid of coming back on AP because I read about some bad experiences people had but it was a breeze in a sense. Philadelphia airport was nearly empty when I was coming back. The first officer was totally cheerful, talking to me about 'pierogi' ( Polish food) his mother-in-law makes and the secondary inspection lasted maybe 7 minutes... (the woman only asked if I was still married and how long I was away). I was expecting it to last a couple of hours. You have to realize that the secondary inspection always happens for AP holders, it's nothing unusual.

That said, there were some things that you just need some patience about. Before boarding the flight at London Heathrow they checked all of my hand luggage ( airplane crew), then on the domestic flight in the US I had to have a secondary inspection again ( was brief) and at home my checked-in bag turned out to be searched, I found a note inside...

And they did ask for AP every time... I was afraid it is not so common but it must be because everybody seemed to have known what it was!

But I must admit I cannot complain, was treated well but my feeling is it very much depends on what kind of person lets you in...

so good luck, I hope you will have no issues coming back!

Hi! I'm a Detroit filer too! Could I ask how long it took to have your interview scheduled since you received the notification of "Case Is Ready To Be Scheduled For An Interview" ? Thanks!

Hi guys,

Please share your experience if you had the same experience. My i485 case status has been changed to the below since 10/22.

"Interview Cancelled: on October 22, 2018, we cancelled the interview scheduled for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number xyz . We will notify you by mail if the appointment is rescheduled, a decision is made, or if the office needs something from you"

The point is I have never been scheduled for an AOS interview and did not receive anything related to the interview appointment both via mail and email. I am kind of confused, so if you know anything, please advise. Thanks a lot. My local office should be San Francisco.

Should be OK, they may have scheduled it but canceled before you even were notified it was scheduled. You should contact the USCIS to make sure it is canceled as I have read some bad stories in this regards.

Oh, and here is a thread

485 Approval Question

Upon approval does this mean one can work in the U.S. and leave the U.S. for only two years? Yes... but (see below)

I am confused about why the AOS from K1 visa is only valid for two years. If you've been married for less than a year, that's the green card you get (conditional).

Will I lose my job if working in the U.S. when my two years is up? within 90 days of expiration, file for removal of conditions. You will receive a letter that extends the expiration date of your green card for 1 year. If your RoC interview/approval does not happen within that extended year, make a Infopass appointment (prior to its expiration of course), and get a 551 stamp in your passport (which is in effect a green card for 6 months to a year).

I hope this helps.

Can someone shed some light because i feel i am in a mess. 😔  We tried to have my name in my husbunds bank account and house bills but i dont have a ssn so it cant be done. I applied for a ssn one month before my i-94 expired. 4 weeks went by after applying and i was told it could not be done because my i94 was close to or just expired (I cant remember what the guy said), so basically i have no documents to prove my marriage is legit except photos, marrige cert, and chat logs. Im sp worried this is not enough. 😞

What I did to get my wife on my bank account: take copies of everything. I can't remember exactly what they accepted, but I had: her state ID from her country, mail in her name to our address, her passport, and marriage certificate (original). That was enough for the bank, as far as the bills, I would call the electric/water company and landlord and see what they need. The marriage certificate should be enough for the name change with them (along with passport of course).

I got my approval letter for EAD on November 21sr. And till now, I still don’t have the card, no updates on my account at all.

I called uscis and the woman told me to wait 30-60 days. This is so ridiculous! What is the point to send me the approval letters ? I have to wait 30-60 days to get the actual card. I have waited 6 months for the approval letters which means nothing, not even the card. I just don’t understand how they can treat me like this? I just feel so despair and depressed in the process.

I understand your frustration. Has your interview been scheduled yet? I still haven’t recieved my EAD/AP card, but luckily I had my AOS interview on Tuesday so I should get my green card 2-3 weeks.
