Yes I’m still waiting. I am early April filer. My interview has already happened 4 months ago. I received EAD but not AP. Anyone facing the same situation that they received EAD but no AP

Confused??? Isn’t EAD/AP a combo card?? I was under the impression that if you have your EAD then you’re good as it states your eligible for travel (so to speak). I’m pretty sure you don’t get two separate cards???

That’s the assumption and usually uscis practice but here I’m the unusual case who did not receive the AP. I received EAD in August and since then waiting for AP. And that’s the one I’m in dire need of. I already had EAD from my education which expires 10 months later. I really didn’t needed EAD

Oh no! That really sucks! I filed April 2nd and I still haven’t recieved my EAD/AP so I feel your pain.

I have been issued two emergency AP though. I got to go back to England for 14 days in March and 10 days in September.

If your in dire need like you say, maybe you could go to your local office and see if they can help you.

I feel you too. They have made it harder for people and they are enjoying it. But karma wins in the end. If your emergency Ap has been approved then for how long was it. And when did you get it approved...what is your local field office?? My local field office is a joke. Infopass is a joke. I went there two weeks ago and the officer said it will get rejected. It goes through chain of approvals and most probably it will get rejected. I have opened up SR, expedite, inquiries, contacted senator, contacted ombudsman but all in vain. I’ve an emergency and need to go and it is just getting painful. I’m planning to go again next week for infopass. But have very very low hope on local field office.

What??? :( That’s so sad!! Getting emergency AP was actually really easy for me. Both times I walked into my local office (Detroit) explained/told the receptionist “I need an emergency appointment”

I then saw the officer and explained my situation. In April my Gran passed away and in September my uncle passed.

Both times I had straight forward, easy experiences. I walked out with AP documents in hand the same day. Emergency AP allows you to leave for 30 days from the day it is issued.

If you don’t mind my asking - what is the urgency for you to go home??? Where is your local field office??

We filed in April.  I got my EAD/AP card in September.  We moved from PA to TX in November (this month).  I filled out the address change form online for my I-485.  Did I also need to don't his for I-130?  There was no option to do so...

Also, what happens to the priority date now that we've moved to another state?

For us...I filled everything on the 24th of April, received an RFE in July and was able to respond back to them. Now my cases is still received and I'm still waiting for my EAD. I'm now outside the normal processing times, so recently I submitted an inquiry in my case. They said that the'll get back to me, so let's hope so.

Any update for you? I am also April filer for my EAd renewal. I am about to hit the 7 month mark next week and will need to stop working. Any idea what’s taking so long?

Question did they ask you for proof? My husbands sister is sick and shes getting an operation but we haven't asked her for paperwork becuase we are still thinking about an emergency AP. Do you recommend it?
