You guys are so lucky! Everything moved so fast for us in the beginning, then came to a halt. We have been sitting at "ready to be scheduled" since the middle of May! GOOD LUCK on your interviews!!

:(
Yea-- it happens.
U must be in a slower office.
At least the good news is an RFE ain't coming ur way before that interview!
So u can relax and hopefully get ur EAD and get life as "normal" as u can

No EAD but got notification today that 485 is ready for testing and interview!

testing?

any idea how long the wait is for an interview after this status update?

My status changed to ready for interview on Aug 13, and then I got another update on Aug 22 that my interview was scheduled and mailed to me. I think I received the interview date in the mail about 4 business days later, and my interview was scheduled for a month later.

Thank you for sharing! I hope you’re interview goes well and you’re approved that day. (Don’t know if that’s how they do it but hope so)

I wonder how long we’re going to wait for the interview.

I looked up Los Angeles in USCIS’s website and they increased the processing times to 15 - 32.5 months. 😫

I totally relate! My husband got his EAD about a week and a half ago and immediately started filling out applications. He has four interviews, two which he just went on. He just got a job offer but is waiting to finish other interviews before he makes a decision about which one to take. It is actually making me SO sad! I started working online from home when he moved here so we could be together during this time. We spend all day and night together and I'm secretly really sad to see him go to work....even though I love and support him wanting to be an independent person. It is just SUCH a change going from living on opposite sides of the world, to being with him 24/7 since April and it was really nice. Oh well...back to the real world!!

I know how you feel. I work during the day then come home and my husband is always here and as soon as he got the work permit he was offered a job in the evening so he hasn't started yet but I was sad at first but yes gotta jump in to reality now I suppose.

Yes. An RFE will put a pause on your application until it is resolved. Sometimes, it resets the clock.

We got an RFIE and thankfully, it did not reset the clock. Our EAD came in about a week ago. I wouldn't fret. I'd reply the RFE as quick as you can.

We got an RFE and once we turned in what they asked for we received the work permit and it now says schedule for interview on USCIS website all within a few wks. It didn't push us to the back of the, seems like they got to ours and processed super fast.

Okay guys, so i’ve been seriously depressed lately due to recent events in regards to my case and need some real advice. Many of you are very knowledgable when it comes to this so i figured i best post here as i have been active on this thread with my case.

I recently recieved an RFE (About 2 weeks ago regarding my case, 160 or so days after filing. They are requesting my Co-Sponsor’s 1040 from the most recent tax year. Stupidly my Co-Sponsor did NOT file although they should have but knowing they would owe money to the IRS chose not to and is not willing to any time soon. Don’t bash me about this, i’m just as pissed as anyone else would be.

Now what would be my best bet, i have 63 days left to respond with both 1040 and a Birth Certificate (Can get the birth certificate no problem). I have a copy of her end of year 2016 transcript but not 2017 (As stated, she did not file). Would my best bet be to seek a new co-sponsor and withdraw the current I-864 or what? Have no idea what to do right now.

If she didn’t want to file 2017 form. You have to find another co sponsor will be best.

Thanks Tom, will USCIS be okay with me responding to my RFE with a whole new I-864 with W-2’s/Tax Returns etc as they just requested the 1040/birth certificate from my current co-sponsor? And shall i send a withdrawl from my current co-sponsor along with all the other stuff?
