The status changed on August 24th for us too. We received the notification in the mail on August 30th and hoping to have the card today or in the next few days too! We applied and received the SSN after my husband got here, so we already have it. Good luck everyone!

We applied for the SSN right when he got here. We didn’t wait for the EAD application to file and send it. We wanted it earlier for things like health insurance and bank accounts.

I'm 4/9/18. Still haven't gotten any response to my question. I called the expedite mine because I got a job interview. Anyways it said "On August 30, 2018, your request to have your case expedited, referral number T1DxxxxxxxxxxMSC, was completed." My question is, will this affect me getting mine right about now since everyone around my PD is getting good news?

Hi all,

Good to hear some people are making progress!

Quick question - my EAD card will be sent to my address in the coming days... yay!

But I am actually out of town for the next week and I know the cards are sent via the 'USPS Signature Confirmation Restricted Delivery' mode. Can these type of parcels be redirected to the post office and held there for me to sign and pick up later on? Has anyone heard of similar stories??

I have attempted to do this on the USPS website. im not sure if the redirect has been processed correctly.. but would like to know if anyone can share some thoughts!

Thank you!

Question for someone who did an expedite through their congressman. I sent an email over a week ago and just received a response. I asked if he's able to expedite my EAD if I provide a job offer. The response I received today doesn't look much in my favor.

Quote

The following criteria have been established for acceptance and consideration of an expedite request: (1) Severe Financial Loss to a Company or Individual; (2) Extreme Emergent Situation; (3) Humanitarian Reasons; (4) Furtherance of Cultural & Social Interests of the U.S. (requested by non-profit organizations); (5) Department of Defense or National Interest Situations (requests must be made by an official U.S. Government entity for situations where delay will be detrimental to our government); (6) Service Error; (7) Compelling Interest of the Service.

All expedite requests must be accompanied by supporting documents that demonstrate that one or more of the expedite criteria have been met. (USCIS) tells us due to the extremely high volume of expedite requests for this case type, they are strictly enforcing the criteria that have been set for these expedite requests.

I don't qualify for any of these,  I've read around here that people got it expedited just with a job offer. Is there anything I can do about this? My wife doesn't get OT anymore, that's some kind financial loss, was thinking we could email them the stubs. Kind of a long shot but what else can we do?

I see more and more people getting their EAD, I don't think mine is long ways away, receive date is april 23rd but my wife is getting really burned out and I feel bad about it.
