Sorry for the dumb question but I don't feel like reading immigration law this early.....

It looks like they are doing GC's faster than EAD/AP cards.  Doesn't the GC supersede the need for the EAD/AP card?  In other words can't  you work and travel once you get the green card and if so then what is the point of the EAD/AP card?  I mean to say what is the point if you get the GC first?  I understand in theory the idea is you get the EAD/AP first so you can actually do stuff and visit home etc.

You are correct and I did ask about this at our interview.  Our IO told us that since our Green Card would likely be received before they even started processing our EAD/AP that when they did finally start to process the EAD/AP the application would just be cancelled as their records would then indicate a Green Card has been produced.  We just received our Green Card on June 16th but our EAD/AP cases still show as received with the online trackers.

Hi April Filers!

Is there anyone here also filing from Houston? I've been reading reviews that they're taking forever to process AOS :(

last may 21 my status changed to "case ready to be schedule for interview"

Any idea what is the current processing time? I heard USCIS site is not accurate?

Thank you in advance! Hope we all get it soon :)

Are the processing times on both the USCIS site and VisaJourney completely off?

Seems more like a 4 month wait from AOS filing to getting interviews/Green Cards according to some of these posts!

Has anyone else has applied from around Bismarck, ND with any insight on rough timelines, that would be super!

For some it goes fast...

From what I've observed the couples for whom it goes fast they receive the interview letter 2 weeks to 2 months after completing the biometrics...after that it's unpredictable...

3 couples from our April group got the interview letter so far, I believe.

ROC:  Received Jan 25 2021    NOA 1: February 25 2021 (LIN/Nebraska).    BIOMETRICS: April 30  2021
APPROVED: June 23 2021     CARD DELIVERED:   June 30 2021

AOS:          Received Date:  April 2      NOA 1:  April 5 2018
Biometrics:  April 27  Fingerprint Review Was Completed:  April 30
Case Ready to be scheduled: May 3
( that update only showed up in August! after being notified about EAD&AP )
EAD&AP  We approved your case:  August 8   /  In the mailbox:  August 16 2018
Interview   -    March 14 2019    (
Notice Date:  February 1)  -   Approved!

Well that depends they seem right on for some and some get right through. Colorado is slower than molasses running uphill and haven't seen anyone get one quick there although 2 in VJ say they got theirs quick who applied after me according to vj timeline stats, so who knows. Hmm North Dakota, I bet they go to Minnesota for processing and its slower than molasses there too from what I have seen.
