Anyone in AZ who has their biometrics appt yet?

was wondering where they send us to and if AZ was one of the states where we can do a walk in.

Hey! I'm in AZ also so wondering the same thing. We have a friend who is also filing for AOS, but it's employment-based not family/marriage based. He got their biometrics appt letter about 2-3 weeks after their NOA1 and went for the appointment last week. It was at a location in downtown Phoenix, not sure if there are any other locations in AZ.

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

- The Dalai Lama

Find your Application Support Center (ASC,  biometric place) here https://egov.uscis.gov/crisgwi/go?action=offices.type&OfficeLocator.office_type=ASC  Put in your zip code near the bottom of the page.

It  could be at the USCIS main  interview office location, or by itself in a run down shopping center, or in another state.

We are on a similar timeline.

Sent everything on 4/4, biometrics on 5/4, status changed to "fingerprint review was completed" on 5/7, and today (5/9) I-485 changed to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"!!!

I-130, I-131 and I-765 still haven't changed though. I was expecting I-131 and I-765 to be accepted first, before I-485 is ready for an interview, but I guess I-485 will be in this status for a loooong time anyway.

Marriage-based AOS from H1B

(Employer filed H1B extension before I filed AOS with spouse)

4/4/2018: AOS package (I-130, I-485, AP & EAD) sent

4/6/2018: at 5:00 arrived at Chicago office

4/15/2018: Sunday at 22:30, received email/text notification

4/19/2018: NOA (I-130, I-485, AP&EAD) arrived in mail

4/20/2018: Biometrics app letter arrived in mail

5/4/2018: Biometrics done

5/7/2018 (p.m.): I-485 and I-765 Status changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed"

5/9/2018 (p.m.): I-485 status changed to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview"

8/20/2018 (p.m.): I-765 status changed to "New Card Is Being Produced"

8/24/2018: Received combo card in mail

11/13/2018: Online status says "Interview was scheduled"

11/19/2018: Interview notice in mail

12/03/2018: Online status changed back to "Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview" once again, I freaked out

12/18/2018: Attended the interview, approved on spot, status changed to "Card is being produced" within an hour

12/21/2018: "Card was mailed to me"

H1B extension (employer) at the same time as marriage-based AOS

3/23/2018: "Case Was Received"

10/16/2018: Approval letter arrives at the employer's office, online status still not updated

Yup, it's been for about a month. Biometrics was on 5/4 Friday, and as of today (5/9 Wednesday), the status is "ready to be scheduled..." But this is, I heard, when the real waiting starts. I've read about cases where the status stayed at "ready to be scheduled" for a year.

BUT! what you said above, about January filers, gives me a hope. What I know is that, now that it is ready for an interview, it depends on the field office that handles the case. Mine is Denver, which has an especially long processing time:( Will update whenever I see a change.

April filers! I've looked on January filers and a few of them have had their interviews for green card already! That's super fast!

How many? I wonder if any of those filers are in Southern California.
