I was surprised but my husband got his new DL valid for the next 5 yrs.

Hi All,

Feeling very discouraged here.  I had my interview in Seattle on the 18th of Sept after almost a year and a half of waiting.  The interview went really well but as per norm the lady mentioned she could not give us an answer right away and this is the way they do all the cases.  After some research I found this is quite normal and everyone received "Card is now being produced" a few hours or days later.  However I am still waiting for any notification.  Is this normal???  All my status says is:

Your interview for your Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status, Receipt Number MSC1891039917, was completed, and your case must be reviewed. We will mail you a notice if we make a decision or take further action. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Does anyone know if there is a way to query this or do I simply just need to wait...?

This is making me very anxious.

Thoughts?

Hey Wouter Erwee, did they mail you the letter (decision) and then the card? Because your case is still pending online. 3 weeks. Insane.

As per “simply waiting”, I might be mistaken but it’s 120 days.

Please let us know.

Hey Hey, No I am still waiting.  The only response I received was the letter they gave me at the end of the interview telling me they will reach out to me.  I called a few days ago and they said the only thing I can do is wait.  So frustrating!!

Hi all!

Big thank you to everyone who has contributed and provided assistance in this forum throughout this long process - I have finally received my green card (category CF1)!

I am looking to travel internationally later this month for a short vacation. Is there anything i need to carry (other than my new green card) ? This process has made me a little paranoid about travelling internationally, and I want to make sure I do it properly! Has anyone travelled using their new green card? Any advice is very much appreciated!

My husband received his green card in February. We had traveled to his home country with advance parole before that. After receiving the green card, we traveled for four months this summer backpacking Europe. We re-entered without any issues. We are traveling to his home country next month for Christmas too. You're totally fine to travel.

This doesn't sound good. When it goes this direction, it's a lot of waiting. I know of folks who went to their interviews in April who are still pending on this notification. No movement, no action, just nothing. Hopefully yours gets resolved soon.

Congratulations! I would say give it about 3 months just to be sure your information has been lodged into their system. There's been a case where someone left with a freshly received EAD and on return they were detained because her information wasn't in the system. They couldn't understand how she had a valid, authentic EAD but wasn't in their records. It was a 4-hour wait with a lot of calls and follow through before she could leave. Thankfully she was with her husband who insisted she wasn't going anywhere. Just give it time, the trip can wait, if it's not an emergency.

Hi - did you travel already? My wife and I are about to head back after a vacation to Mexico, and I'm wondering if she can now go in the same line as me with the conditional GC? Thanks in advance!

Hi,

Yes - travelled in and out of the country successfully! Both my wife and I were able to re-enter the country in the same line (US citizens & GC holders).
