We applied for the EAD/AP renewal I think in May, 180 days before it expires which is August 18th, so we're in the same boat. Given that the interview is 3 days later, I'm not sure what we'll do yet. @QN&CD looking forward to hearing how the DMV goes.

 

So here's something interesting...we got our date!! It's August 21. The crazy thing is that it's in Sacramento and not SF! 

 

For those that have had the interview: Do they ask to see a copy of the original file you submitted? I posted before but never got a response - we didn't make an identical copy for lame reasons, and now I'm freaking out because I can't find the awesome cover letter I put together that stated exactly everything we submitted. How concerned should we be??

02/25/2019 - Received by USCIS text notification

05/03/2019 -  Email Notification interview has been schedule

INTERVIEW SCHEDULED FOR: 06/07/2019

At the interview was issued a request to submit medicals when ready 

 

6/28/19 Approval letter for alien petition received 

 

07/06/2019 medicals submited

07/09/2019 medicals delivered by fedex 

07/12/2019 notification correspondence received uscis

07/24/2019 new card is being produced!

Wow... which city do you live ? I think you can check your local office online ?

Because lately, USCIS wants to make the process faster , they move cases to nearby offices

I have a question, how to show joint credit card account? Can I just show them our credit cards? It has the same number ?

Take a printout of your CC and bank statements and highlight the name of yours and your spouse on the statement.

But on the bank statement, there is no my name. I don’t know why.

You can then take print out for both the cards. You dont get any transaction for the card which your spouse use? If yes, then take that too.

I'm near Richmond, CA - so SF would be my location. I figured that was the reason but was still surprised to see it scheduled so quickly!

I can print out the transactions of the credit card, but somehow it doesn’t have my name on it. Maybe it is not a joint credit card account, my card is the second card of the credit card.

Second card is usually the ad-on card on the main credit card and it should show both of your names on the statement. Please call and check with your credit card company as it should reflect both the names on the statement.

Update: I just successful renew the Driver License with almost expired EAD and receipt for renewal EAD. Here is supporting documents:

 

1. Identity Document: (must be original, keep it in mind) expired/valid EAD and i797C for renewal i765

2. Social Security Document: (should be original as well) W2 form (can use Social Security card instead)

3. California Residency: (copies accepted) bank statement, phone bill and car title (just need two separate documents, USICS receipts cannot be accepted)
