Congrats, sorry you had to deal with the stress of that interview.

If you both are currently working and meeting the requirements that should be more relevant than 2018 situation.

Yes, we are doing ok financially. She just had to have her opinion on our personal life. lol

“Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It”

After my interview (it was very good and smooth) they provide me with a letter to submit my medicals.

After they received, the Case updated and said: Correspondence Was Received And USCIS Is Reviewing It

Anyone was in that stage at one point?

We had our interview 1 week ago (7/10), officer advised us at the interview that he was approving us and said he was updating it right then in the system. By the time we got back to our car my husband had a notification of status change and I think it said new card is being produced. The officer told us they are sending the GC's out pretty quick, within a few days. He said.. I'm supposed to tell you it will take a few weeks but it's been within 5 days lately that they are sending them. Sure enough my husband got an email with a tracking number the next day and according to mail it will be arriving today.

All in all was a pleasant experience. The officer asked us some basic questions, but said he has already reviewed our file before and said it was pretty straightforward. He asked if we had any additional evidence that we wanted to add to the file - I handed him over all of the supporting docs I brought for bonafide relationship. He looked through the pics and paperwork then handed back the pics. He kept every piece of the paperwork I brought and hole-punched it to put in the file. So I was really glad that I put so much evidence together ahead of time. He also asked if we had the vaccination sheet (which we did) but then he ultimately found it in the file so said nevermind. Lastly, he asked for our 2018 tax returns which we provided copies of along with updated financial docs for my affidavit of support - my salary increased so I brought an updated form but he said he didn't need the updated form just the financial docs.

He also told us to prepare similar evidence once it's time for ROC and to especially include birth certificate for our child (I'm currently pregnant). The officer was really nice... after the formal stuff was over he was making small talk and asking us if we have any exciting plans and asked us what we would do after we left to celebrate the approval.

We are so happy and relieved to be done with AOS!! Now we get a short break until it's time for ROC 😀

The Dalai Lama, when asked what surprised him most about humanity, answered "Man.... Because he sacrifices his health in order to make money. Then he sacrifices money to recuperate his health. And then he is so anxious about the future that he does not enjoy the present; the result being that he does not live in the present or the future; he lives as if he is never going to die, and then dies having never really lived."

Here's what it says:

"There has been a recent processing action taken on your case.

Receipt Number: MSC...

Application Type: I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS
Your Case Status: Testing and Interview

On July 17, 2019, we scheduled an interview for your Form I485, APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR ADJUST STATUS, Receipt Number MSC... We will mail you an interview notice. Please follow any instructions in the notice. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

If your case status indicates that you are currently in this step, you have either been scheduled for an interview or are in line to be scheduled for an interview. The amount of time your application will remain in this step will vary by office and is largely determined by the number of cases ahead of yours. The interview notice will have specifics about time, location and anything you will need to bring to your interview. If your application remains pending beyond our normal processing times (as shown below) please contact our national customer service center at 1-800-375-5283. Please note that not every application/applicant will require an interview. In some instances, an interview is required by regulation and others an interview is requested because USCIS has determined that this is the most efficient means to determine eligibility. For a naturalization application the interview will include your taking the required English and/or Civics tests (unless exempt or waived).

  • Log-in to your myUSCIS account to view your case history and understand what you can expect to happen next on your case.
  • Current processing times can be found on the USCIS website at under Check Processing Times.

Sincerely,
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS)"

I'm surprised the subject says TESTING and interview, but maybe that's just placeholder for this email every time.

OMG - may I ask when you changed the address? Was that done recently? Thanks JoAndLo!

I encountered a similar situation when they sent my EAD card to the old address, but that was in mid of September 2018, and I had changed the address early September 2018. Luckily we still had access to the mailbox of the old place (but not anymore now).

So so worried that they might send my interview notice - which I received the alert July 13 2019 - to my old address. Sighhh...

Congrats @Jake H

I'm from SF too. Still waiting......

@Jake H @QN&CD @Peter Davis

Just wondering, have any of you renewed your driver's license in SF yet? Mine's expiring around mid August 2019.

I have applied to renew my EAD & AP and have received the NOA for both.

Any idea if DMV accepts the Form I-797C as legal presence? And what other documents is required to be submitted to renew my driver's license.

Thanks in advance.

I applied to renew my EAD and AP since beginning of March 2019, but still got nothing. I am trying to expedite the process but not sure it successes

My DL will expire soon in mid August 2019 too, so I plan to go to DMV this weekend to renew DL using pending form i485 and valid i94. I heard someone can do that, but it took them a while with DMV. I will update you more information after this weekend

Any one from SF also got interview dates ???
