Angie & Hasan's update

To my dismay I still have to report that we are still in 2nd round of security checks. They ordered the 2nd check but beofre they did they called Hasan to ask him the names and birth dates of his bothers and sisters and asked how many children they had. Well that secuirty check was ordered I beleive on 4/5/07. I called this morning only to be informed that we are still in processing.

I am staying strong and praying that God will allow us to be reunited very soon.

I promise to post as soon as I hear anything different, since all I hear now is still processing 2nd security check.

Angie, I am sorry this is taking so long.

Julianna, they kept his passport right?

Remember Maureen's story that they were supposed to mail Malek's and had forgotten, so if he doesn't get it by the two week mark, maybe try emailing them? Or he can go to the embassy to see if they sent it aramax? Just a suggestion.

Either way I hope you both hear something very soon.

No they did not keep his passport as I had to redo the I134 for the notary stamp was on an affidavit and not on the actual form. He was given the 221g and now we are stuck in security clearences

I pray and pray and that is all I can do to stay strong and remember that I am lucky to be this far as our scheduled date for the interview was Aug 15. I try an dlook for the positives but it gets hard at times, that is why I am very thakful for the support that we have here.

Julianna I really hope that he gets it very soon or I would be calling and emailing.

I think I am going to be emailing them with something friendly.. say somehting like "just making sure it isn;t lost by aramex" and see if there is a response.

Angie, still praying for you and keep your head up.

Juliana, I would def email them. Have you emailed at all since the 24th? If not you're good, I think I would have emailed the next day. If you don't hear this week coming maybe Ammar could go to the embassy to check out what happened. I could be wrong but I think that's what Maureen's hubby did.

Nope, I was realllllly good and verrrrry patient and didn't harass them at all.

Even thought I really wanted to.

I considered giving them a countdown for sex and perhaps telling them all kinds of extraneous information until they sent that passport back via rocket-speed.

But no, I was good.

I think I'll email tonight so they have it bright and early on Sunday!

Sorry to hear how things are going. Just stay positive. My fiancee and I had many obstacles that we had to overcome during our process.

At times we felt hopeless, but we prayed and console each other constantly and this helped us immensley. Also the support we got here on the site and from even strangers was very helpful. My fiancee and I will keep both of you in our prayers. we hope you get thru this quickly.
