Misplaced then found green card - still useable?

I'm currently living abroad for a couple years fornwork reasons but hoping to maintain my green card bc my wife and children are US citizens. I misplaced my green card and applied for a one-time entry permit (boarding foil) to enter the US for work reasons, which I did. I then found my green card - can I still use that green card to enter the US next time or will it have been deactivated?  

 

Unfortunately I can't get an infopass appointment to ask USCIS before I leave the US -  they are all booked....

I should add it's very important for my job that I have a way to enter the US every month or so, so ifnInjust go ahead and apply for a replacement green card and continue as if my origionalnis still lost - I don't know how I would enter the US during the 6 months the replacement card takes.

u  say u are living outside the US then how could you make an info pass appointment

 

If you are a lawful permanent resident (green card holder), you may leave the U.S. multiple times and reenter, as long as you do not intend to stay outside the U.S. for 1 year or more.

if you are going to apply for citzenship,  you need to be married 3 years and in the US for the 3 months prior to applying plus they deduct from this all time spent outside the US

Did you phone the helpline and ask someone?

Do you have a re-entry permit? If not I think you’re going to run into problems sooner or later by effectively trying to use your green card as a B1 visa on a very regular basis.
