Hi,

In June we want to visit NY for a two week holliday. My girlfriend is Bulgarian and can'tapply for the ESTA tourist visa. For the DS160 tourist visa form she needs to specify what her relationship is to me (her travel companion). We are not maried and we are not registered as partners, but we have a relationship and live together in (a rented) apartement in the Netherlands.

How should she refer to me in the form? Should she state that she is single or in a domestic partnership? And am I her spouse? Or just a ' friend' for the law? Thanks!

The visa/ESTA questions usually pertain to marital status, not relationship status. So the answer would be 'single'.

Thank you, and when referring to me, as we travel together, should she chose Friend or Other?

I thought the B2 app was no asking GF/BF? If it is that is your answer, if not friend.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

Hi, thanks for the replies! The B2 asks 2 things; what the marital status is (single apparently) and who you are traveling with, plus your relation to that person. Based on the information above I would say that the answer there is 'Other' and then; boyfriend.
