Yup, US embassy in Nepal doesn’t accept any financial paperwork or invitation letter for visitor visas. It’s solely based on the in-person interview.

Not really any different to anywhere else.

My parents and my sister applied tourist visa for my wedding here in the US. They applied in the US embassy in the Philippines. They brought documents to prove their strong ties in our country but the consul did not ask any of it from them. But im sure that varies case by case. They were approved with their visas. I still suggest to bring proofs of ties in your country tho.

Such documents like property records, bank statements aren’t allowed in US embassy in Nepal. One need to appear for interview just with DS160 application confirmation and the passport.

Well if that's the law there you just have to follow. Your parents just need to be truthful and convince with their answers during the interview

Part of the reason documents have no value is because they can be easily faked. If a CO needs additional info after an interview, they have ways of getting that info.

I-751 journey

10/16/2017.......... ROC package mailed

10/18/2017.......... I-751 package received VSC

10/19/2017.......... I-797 NOA date

10/30/2017.......... Notice received in mail

10/30/2017.......... Check cashed

11/02/2017.......... Conditional GC expired

11/22/2017.......... Biometrics completed

  xx/xx/xxxx.......... waiting waiting waiting

I have seen posts on here offering pretty much any document you would like.

For a small fee.
