Well I for one am going to believe the updated dates for Nebraska. We’ve spent the past 2-3 days bitchin and complaining on how we need to write to Congress, senators etc to make a change. Now that they’ve changed the date, we’re still complaining and aren’t believing it. Could it be that they actually heard our cries for help? I’ve decided to be optimistic and believe that my prayers have been answered. I’m just happy to see it’s in June and not April anymore. Thank You, Jesus!!

You mean you're going to believe what they had 3 days ago? After the complaints? You really think they made any progress? Suuuuree. It's probably they yelled at the guy that was in charge of posting the dates to roll it back.

While I was at work. I got alert of several receipts from YSC Nov/Dec filers getting approved/having their petitions sent to NVC. This happens daily to every two days on the several 100s of samples I have added yet the tons of LIN receipts i've added barely moves and I really had to add a ton to the case tracker.

It's not cries for help. It's a demand for accountability. I've written to my congress folks, now I am just writing to reporters/writers that focus on immigration.

Hey everyone, another Nebraska filer here (October 2018).  I'm from DC, so, unfortunately, don't have a congressperson or senator with any real power. I may go ahead and write to others, though, just to feel less helpless. My case status also says "last updated 2/10/19" but no idea what it's referring to, and pretty sure it's nothing important. This is so frustrating!

The person u will write to for DC is Congresswoman Eleanor Holmes Norton. I write to her when my K1 approval delayed. They are really good, her office contacted uscis and my case my approved in no time.

Yeah, I know Eleanor, unfortunately, she did absolutely nothing for me the last time I asked her for help for an immigration thing (didn't even respond!) But I did try her again. I also e-mailed several Senators who allow out-of-state people to contact them. I guess every little bit helps?

And hey DC! 👋

They haven't changed at all. They just reverted to the ####### processing time that it always has been...before we started "complaining" as you put it. My senate liaison confirmed they they are 10+ months out and looking at a full USCIS redistribution. Did you write your senator and get a response that was different?

I sure did, the very next day infact! I reached out to Congressman Lance Golden and they asked me to fill out a privacy release  form which I did and faxed, they called and asked what was going on. They told them they were in June and not April as it said online. Lance’s office told me to call again in two weeks so they can make sure it is still moving and I was given the personal number to the Supervisor Flo, she was very helpful and compassionate and they got back to me ASAP

What did they mean by  USCIS redistribution?

Transferring cases to other service centers to balance workload. But I wonder what exactly they will even transfer, and how long it will be until they actually do it? 🤔

Glad to hear you got a quick response. I love my senators office and they've been helpful to us through our K1 (and now CR1) over the past two years. When one center is heavy loaded, Nebraska for instance, they will transfer cases to lesser busy centers to rebalance the processing times. If your case is every transferred it's inserted in numerical order amongst the others so you do not have an advantage or disadvantage. We'll see what they do as a whole if everyone starts getting case transfer notifications!! 😂

Here is to hoping they include the I-130 petitions in that "USCIS re-balance" 🤞

Ugh, the agony!! Fingers crossed. It’s only fair to start approving us soon!

How much do the case processing times really tell us given that "the estimated time range displayed is based on data captured approximately two months prior to updating the page"?

I agree 2,000 percent. Maybe the first time the system had a glitch that causes the times to shift to 12 months. I agree. We all must at least think positive and stop looking at the bad all the time.

Yes let's stop the efforts because 7.5-10 months is acceptable. Yet we have many members beyond range still with no approval but all is well because the website reverted back to the previous processing time.

It's not acceptable at all. There should be pressure for USCIS to process in a timely fashion especially when it used to be processed much faster in the past.

If you're cool with waiting a long time for something that shouldn't be that long you're more than welcomed to wait.

While waiting the rest of us are taking action.
