Nebreska is still processing late April and  May 2018. For last 3 months I see them they stuck in only April month. By seeing their current movement I am thinking its going to get worst. Probaby 14-15 months just to get approved at USCIS  level or can take even longer  if this continue. Another 4,5 months for NVC and embassy level. 24 Months Total will be normal timelines to bring US citizen spouse if petition routed to Nebreska. Man! What is this???

Its crazy that they wont even issue tourist visa for my husband to visit me. Reason of denial: your intention is to become immigrant so we cant issue non- immigrant visa.

On the other hand K3 visa will take same timeline as cr1. make no sense to apply K3 visa too.

May they have employee shortage... God knows what causing them to lag behind. so much discerpency in timelines for same petition. One approving less than 4 months another taking 12 months..really frustating to see all this.. i m so

pissed...

If you look at an earlier post of mine, Nebraska got a lot of different work/cases transferred to them in 2018

maybe they will redistribute again in the next few months

you can sign up for alerts on the link I posted

So so sad and frustrating. Taking it one at a time, it is becoming unbearable. Potomac is taking 4 months and Nebraska, well no one knows. :(

K3 visas are obsolete these days anyways, even if someone were to petition for a K3 visa, it would ultimately just be turned into a CR1/IR1, thus trying to get a K3 would be useless as it would become an IR/CR in the end anyways

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

Guys, Don’t be discourage by the delays you see from Nebraska. This will constantly change from slow to fast and fast to slow. It will adjust it self. I been through it, trust me, dont focus on timeline.

You are right but even still Nebraska is known for consistently being the slowest one for many years, while Potomac has always been known as the fastest yet they keep assigning more and more cases to Nebraska, makes no sense :(

This is really unfair to how the system works. the only thing left is to wait!

I believe the reason why Nebraska gets swamped and delayed is because they handle so many forms. I mean some of the other forms can be pretty complicated, where potomac doesn't handle as many. And it's not like they have a team of workers working on specific forms, they handle it all.

This is what I am going through. Today marks the 14 months exactly our P D date.   Still in the dark.  The attorney states the NVC is taking up to 9-10  months to even schedule the interviews on his cases.  He told me to brace ourselves as since 2019 rolled around everything is moving very slow, told me 24 +++ months now for the entire process.   I watched everyone in January be approved, everyone in February.......etc etc...................but not us!    I feel you and hurt for you!

Also, they would not allow my husband to travel to visit me either.  Even with letters from employers and so forth.
