Well, I wish you all a speedy process!   Mine is longer I believe due to his country.  No one tells me this but it seems to be the only thing I can come up with.

Yes, it is most likely because of the country. Can't you be more demanding with them over the phone to get an answer as why it is taking so long? 1 year wait seems a long time!

What the number for Nebraska because I need to see what’s going on with my case. It’s out of the timeline range and I’m locked out of the account. I tried to put in the request but it’s saying the form I’m selecting is wrong which it’s not. This whole process is seriously playing with my life right now and I’m trying to be patient with this lol. Can someone help me please 😌

Yes, I am going by the same timeline. The useless attorney I consulted had led me to believe it would go to Texas as that is our closest service center and I was please because it is a shorter wait. I now know that location doesn't affect service center but I'm disappointed at having to wait longer than I was expecting since it has gone to Nebraska instead.

But we will suck it up and wait!

Did they mention any specific reason, why NSC is delayed?

If the actual number of filers are comparable to what is listed on there then Nebraska has a lot more than Potomac, so maybe that is the reason why they are slower.

I understand.. The people who come at VJ and register in this forum are the peanuts campared to the petition filed at USCIS.  In my opinion ,we are not choosing Service Center when we file petition. We file at LockBox and USCIS are the one who routes our petition to One of 3 service centers.( Potomac, Nebreska or Texas) I think USCIS doesnt have that advance technology and  infrastructure to identify the work load to balance out petition between each service center processing the case.

Its Unfortunate that our petition was routed to slowest service center and we can do nothing about it other than to be patient, sit and wait.. Poor Nebersaka!!  :(

Yeah. I know the service center is decided by the state you live in, so not people must be filing in the states designated for Nebraska. I know I read something that they sometimes transfer applications if there is an overload, but I don't know what determines that. I've decided to not stress about something I can't control or else I'll go crazy lol
