That's probably the quickest I've seen. It takes about a month for most people but it seems a bit longer for a few...

Day 38 of waiting.  Many of us are still waiting from end of June first week of July.

I'm sooooooo confused as to how they work. I know, everybody is haha. But still... I've filed for both 130 and 129 before the past two couples and still haven't gotten approved :( Our case shouldn't be a complicated one though. And then there's the fact that no one hears the news the same way (app, website, email, snail mail, calling). I am happy for you guys though.

Also the app stopped working for me on August 2nd, I simply can't check my cases or refresh the screen... Anybody else has that issue?

yeah I think mine is rather simple too...no prior marriages, no kids, no background concerns, over 4 years of visits. Maybe ours got assigned to someone who is slow :(

If I apply form I-129 do they approved my I-130 like Maria case or I-129?

They will very likely deny the I-129F and approve the I-130, we haven't seen a case otherwise so far. But like I said, they can technically still approve the I-129F. But if you decide now to apply, let's says it take you a week to get it ready and sent, it will arrive one month before your PD for I-130. Given that it will probably take at least one month to be processed, there is really no point for you to do it.

For our story, look at my profile.

I love how this thread suddenly became full of Brazilians! I thought there weren't so many of us here before. 🇧🇷👯‍♀️🇧🇷

I do think your approval is not that far. If I'm not mistaken, VJ was predicting mine between July13th and 27th. I was freaking out, but I realized now that they only got it wrong for 11 days, since I was approved on August 7th. I did not file an I129 and I don't think it will be of any help if you file now. You're already too close to your PD.

Keep us informed too! Abraço!

Haha yes, I lurked here for many months, despairing on how long this whole thing was taking. Thanks again so much for updating because it made my day :)

I will for sure keep everyone informed as soon as I have news as well. abraços!

This thread has grown quite large, so it's now closed. The continuation thread is here:

https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/715266-all-nebraska-i-130-filers-part-5/

Here's hoping that the Part 5 thread will be fortunate for everyone.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).
