Not sure how it works over the phone but I put my new address in online on that website link 3 days ago and just got an email today with a receipt about the change and at the bottom a confirmation that they changed it in their electronic system, I'd recommend he do it online too just in case, all he has to do is put in his name and information, the I-130 receipt number, his country of citizenship (USA) and the new address and done and then he should get an email a few days later with an update

Good to know! He never received an email so he's going to give them a call to double check and also change it online.

But I have seen a case from January 2018, still no approval, all I think is that this might be my case. I don't know what is going on there, it is like they play God in our lives but don't consider we are humans. Since the change in the processing times, i already had 2 meltdowns. I don't know how long I can do this. I have been sick for almost two months, from multiple things, it is just me not handling my mind anymore, but honestly I see no ending. I can't do anything else besides getting stressed about and I have no one to talk about here. It is like my life is on hold and I just cant move forward at the moment, I feel all I want to do is just sleep until this is over.

yeah, I know exactly how you feel, but every time I am about to freak out i try to think that we are half way this process, it just doesn't feel like it because nothing has happened, but the other phases go much quicker, I have my ups and downs, last week I was a disaster, could barely function, this week I am ok, and who knows how I am gonna feel like next week =/. Btw, I saw your profile, I am from Joinville - SC

Hmm I haven't seen October on VJ. Stats on here show August and looks like a batch from Philippines all got approved around the same time. I have a feeling they may work cases with same countries close together since it's all about reciprocity agreements, working with other countries/resources to check info. This does seem more efficient..

I actually noticed that paternities before, almost all the august cases approved were from the philippines, I thought it could have been a coincidence since there are a lot of ppl from the philippines applying, but now it does seem to look like a pattern

Only if you've submitted an I-864 at NVC and then move do you have to paper file, but at USCIS stage you can just do it online

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

So Nebraska finally approved me after a year on 6/20. Now 6 weeks later NVC have still not received it, uscis tier 1 agent say all they can see is my case approved nothing else, my case still says “received” last year online, new acct. Have not gotten call back from tier 2 uscis officer even though tried for over a week! Help me! Anyone else stuck in Nebraska and case not even sent to NVC!??? I’m losing my mind at this point. My citizenship got stuck in a black hole for 6 months longer than it should have and feel like the same thing is happening again!!! I’m at the crying stage!

You need to inform NVC that it’s been 6 weeks so they can investigate.

Yes I have, they told me “no time limit on how long it takes to investigate” so demoralized

This is very sad, and uscis is really no help. Did you get the approval letter? Or just uscis telling you you e been approved?
