Hi All,

I got my visa approved IR1 and will be traveling this month. I have a query my passport will expire in Jan 2019 and I am going to US for 3 weeks. My validity on my passport is 4 months. Would I be able to travel??

Right now, 2 weeks after my first email from USCIS, it states once again, they are still reviewing my case for my husband Pd 01/12/18, last laction this time August 23, 2018, before it was last action August 3, 2018.    I am hoping this is a good sign.  My prayers to God.   Inshallah, approval will come soon.

Hi guys,

My husband had his interview 17 days ago (PD Jan 11, 2017) and is dying to get back to the US as we just had a baby 2 months ago and it's been absolute torture being away from our son for this long, especially because it took 5 long years to conceive. Anyway, he attended his interview alone in Sydney and they requested a couple things but was told he should get his visa in 1 to 2 weeks (although he wasn't given the official approval.) #1. That I send them an email stating that I don't have a W2 for certain years because I've been working in Australia from <date to date> (Even though we showed them my Streamline Offshore Procedure paperwork which is only used when you're working overseas) #2 that I email my birth certificate to show proof of how I'm related to my father who was my joint financial sponsor. Because my income over the last 6 years has been overseas, they recommend i have a sponsor from the US. My husband called me as soon as he was out of the building and I emailed those documents within an hour.

I then get an auto response email saying if they need anything else they will respond within 2 business days. 6 days later (4 business days and 2 weekend days) I receive an email stating that I need to sign and date the email I sent regarding why I don't have a W2. Again, send that within the hour.

Next day we receive an email stating that we upload the I-864 on CEAC under 1099 and to change the file name. That one was very odd because we weren't the ones who actually uploaded that document, they did. Regardless, my husband does that straight away.

We get the same auto email response saying they will contact us within 2 business days if they need anything and that it generally takes 10 business days to get the visa and documents back. I wish they would have told us everything we needed to do in one go! It would save so much time.

This week we received an email saying to upload it as a pdf, even though my husband already uploaded it in pdf format, so he uploads it again and now we're waiting to hear back once again... and it will prob take another week for a response. Fingerscrossed next letter is an approval.

Has anyone experienced anything like this where they needed more information after the interview and how long did it take for the status on CEAC to say approved, or for you to receive an email or tracking number from Australia post saying your visa is on it's way?

Also, on under 1099 on CEAC it says "missing" which as I explained earlier that I've been working in Australia for 6 years hence why I don't have one. I'm just worried they are going to respond saying they need something else. Meanwhile it's Labor Day weekend and it's just another day nothing will get done.

Thanks in advance.

I see many February 2018 filers from many service centers are already approved up to 02/20/18.   I don't see much activity on the websites for January 2018 filers.  I filed for my husband 01/18/2018 and received 2 emails last 2 weeks that they are still reviewing.  I hope this is something positive, as I already feel anxious knowing my cases has been passed up and not complete.  I have been told it is the country that makes it longer.

Any approvals from February filers? Still waiting here! PD 2/21....I thought they were speeding up. Seems slower than Potomac 😔

This feels like everyone just stopped working at Nebraska, like im not seeing any approvals from NSC. Its dead stop usually you see leftovers of Jan still posting for their approvals.

Well I think I am the last of the January that has not been approved.   I looked ahead on many different sites and people from even March 2018 are being approved.  My attorney said the countries our spouse come from can make the process longer.    I am really depressed as I was praying I would have him with me by Christmas.

Hello everyone. My husband filed for the I-130 but also for the k-3 visa. My PD is April 4. Today my husband got a text message that says that they closed my k-3 visa case because I received benefits or status from another case. So I'm here just waiting for my notice in the spouse visa because I figure that is approved since the k-3 was closed. Anyone had been in this same situation? How long did it take for you to hear news on the spouse visa after your k-3 was closed? I hope everyone gets approved soon. I just wanted to share the good news that I'm almost done at USCIS
