It's all totally random. I'm from DC and was sent to Nebraska, my friend from DC was sent to Potomac.

Yeah, and if it isn't random, it clearly has little or nothing to do with the location. That is about all we can rule out there.

You'd think that load balancing would be prudent.

This is exactly the term that describes what I have been talking about. Have no idea why they would not be doing load balancing (although we don't know for sure, it certainly doesn't look like it).

They are transferring Green Card holder spouse petition i-130 from California service center to Potomac service center..

I think they are doing work load balance only for Permanent resident spouse

it happen to one of my friend and seen several cases in facebook as well..

Status says case transferred and new office has Jurisdiction.

Ya, if I am not mistaken, California service center only does I-130 filed by Permanent Resident spouses, not by US Citizen spouses. Nonetheless, I would think that a transfer of files from a backlogged office to less backlogged office would, in principle, be the best way to solve this problem. I hope they do something similar with US Citizen spouse cases.

Wow.

How odd is that. I guess we don't matter where we are from.

Not at all. Someone on here lives in DC overlooking the Potomac and she was in Nebraska also.

My wife and I are July 10th NOA1 and NOA2 was June 26th.

Where you guys check LIN numbers?

There's an app called "Case Tracker" that lets you put in a case number and have it search up to 500 case numbers at once. I have it on my ipad, downloaded through the app store, but someone previously said it may not be available anymore?
