ALL Nebraska I-130 Filers -- Part 4

 Share

I think the most interesting parts is USCIS released media on June 21 saying they are going to move cases around to even up the processing times for i130 filers at busy and slow processing facilities..

when comparing all services centres now, remembering that California and Nebraska were always slow..and that said movement of cases was meant to even out and speed up the process.....  Both Vermont and Texas have reduced and both California and Nebraska have increased? This is the total opposite of their press release???

Texas is down to 1 Week for a resident filing for a spouse? Like seriously? ####### is going on!

This is the 2nd Quarter I-130 processing.

As you can see another Quarter with poor performance from Nebraska Service Center.  They get nearly 20K petitions and only process 11K.     Potomac the best performing one got 14K and processed 23K again getting ahead.

Which you can find https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/USCIS/Resources/Reports and Studies/Immigration Forms Data/Family-Based/I130_performancedata_fy2019_qtr2.pdf

If you compare the data with the previous quarter. QTR 1 - Recieved 21K Approved 15K  QTR 2 Recieved 20K approved 11K

This is some bs

01/28/2019 - Mailed Express Mail USCIS Lockbox Phoenix

01/29/2019 - Received by Phoenix Lockbox
02/04/2019 - Receipt Notice Via Text Message assigned to Nebraska Service Center

It's not just some bs, it's MASSIVE bs! Nearly this whole process has been crazy.

They actually told our senator our case hasn't even been assigned to anyone. Our date is Aug. 7, 2019. Of course, they could be putting ours to the bottom of the stack since it weighed 6.5 pounds...lol

You Have to fill the i-864 form....and send it to NVC along with the financial and civil documents that are required(mentioned in the Checklist that is send to you in the mail by NVC).

Is that checklist only sent by mail? I live abroad with my husband but have provided a US address for mailing.. Will my brother end up having to mail me documents from the US throughout this process, starting from the beginning with the USCIS?

Hopefully this doesn't come off as passive aggressive, because it's not ment to be. I'm just curious the reasons, but why are those of you who are together already freaking out the same or in some cases more then us who are apart for nearly a year or more? Once again, not trying to be an a-hole or suggest anything, just curious.

I'm living abroad.  Everyday here is literally 109°farenheit or 43 celius. Just a month ago we were having 119 degree farehienheit. Nights do not cool down, it's 100 at night.

Also my husband cannot be left alone due to he has an eyesight problem in both eyes which cannot be fixed. He has a medical paper showing. He is a musician so he doesn't need to see to sing. He makes money through that.  In US he has already programs we arranged.

I cannot work here in India legally. I don't have any money. My mother from US has to send money.

I got a mucus problem I developed over time.  Every six months I have to leave the country to go Nepal to return. Cost is $500 total. I've went 4 times to Nepal.

Also living together or separate, no one wants to wait a year just for our papers to look at.

I know living separate is really really most really difficult. I feel you.. I'm sorry.. I pray that everything works out well for you.. 🙏🏼🙂

I know you were just asking the reasons l, so decided to share it.

Please forgive me if I said anything wrong 🙏🏼 I appreciate everyone on this forum.

Also to add, I know each and every one of us here on Visa journey have our issues and a list of problems, financially, emotionally, and personal stuff. There are so many reasons why we are displeased with the service of Nebraska.

Maybe I shouldn't list mines because it's really useless to say it, and some stuff is a bit personal. I'm like one in a thousand people.  Because everyone here has their issues, big or small, general or personal. Everyone has a reason why they are displeased with Nebraska Service Center.

And I can still continue to wait, I'm happy still, 🙂 everyday I wake up looking at the beautiful cows in a field, I go out to feed them, they make my day especially the baby ones.. it's just that I wish uscis nebraska can keep their words. They promised us 10 maxmium months, then they keep pushing it back.  when most of us had first applied back months ago, little did we know it'll keep changing.

They are not truthful to their times.

If they had told us from the start, the approval step will take 1 year. I'm sure all of us would be ok. But lies no one can handle.

They are indeed unprofessional for a government service of USA.

Hmm not sure what you mean skipping approvals? Sending to NVC? They are working through July, so case approvals should be coming soon for all of those. 🙌🏻🙏🏻

I noticed that.. they are not updating online when they do approve, instead the update online just goes from case has been received to sent to department of state..

Not sure who's case so I just blocked out the last digits. I just saw on case tracker.  An example

Absolutely no problem. I was just curious some of the reasons. Thank you so much for your answer also. I'm definitely wishing everyone on here best of luck regardless of situations.

Can we potentially start a petition on change.org for USCIS to distribute their work load from Nebraska? Has anyone thought of this idea?

I definitely thought of change.org

But I feel like the petition must be started by a petitioner not a beneficiary to have any weight. And preferably be signed not only be beneficiaries but lots and lots of petitioners since USCIS will only care about US citizens in these matters
