Anyone knows what the next steps are after i130 approved by uscis? Can I go to NVC website and start paying and submit my paperwork or I have to wait? Thank you in advance!

You will have to wait for the NVC to give you a case number before you can submit anything. This will usually take a few weeks to get a case number but after a couple weeks or so if you still don’t have the case number you can try calling every few days or so to see if it’s ready yet if you don’t want to wait for the email

Our CR1 Journey:

USCIS Stage:

  • Feb 14 2019: NOA1 (NSC)
  • July 31 2019: I129f NOA1
  • Sep 19 2019: I129f NOA2 (Denied - 50 days from NOA1)
  • Sep 19 2019: I130 NOA2 (Approved - 217 days from NOA1)

NVC Stage:

  • Sep 27 2019: Sent to Department of State
  • Oct 31 2019: Case number received (34 days since sent)
  • Nov 1 2019: IV & AOS fees received & paid
  • Nov 14 2019: IV & AOS submitted
  • Dec 18 2019: All docs accepted, but one additional doc requested (5 weeks from submission)
  • Dec 18 2019: Requested doc submitted
  • Feb 19 2020: Documentarily Qualified (9 weeks from 2nd submission, 14 weeks from first submission)

Interview Stage:

  • Mar 11 2020: Interview letter received
  • Apr 1 2020: Interview date
  • Mar 17 2020: Interview cancelled due to COVID-19
  • August 3 2020: Rescheduled letter received, new appointment August 25 2020
  • August 25 2020: Visa approved at interview! (558 days from NOA1)
  • September 10 2020: Embassy received passport in mail
  • September 15 2020: Passport with visa in hand

October 11 2020: Arrived in US!

My PD is 6th of july and hear nothing. My husband was frustrated calling them. Always 1 hour hold in line till talk with the officer and they only read information on the website. Not giving us any ideas why such backlog happens.

Keep strong

🙏🤞 Close date..

I haven't called them since I applied.  Because I'm in India, I'm not going to waste my phone money calling them.

I sent an email, inquiry.

You want help, but you won’t help the community by completing your timeline on the profile. As I said before, this helps all of us. Congrats to you for the approval, but now please document that in your timeline. Please contribute! Thx

Thank you!  What do you mean by timeline? I think I write back a while back and included above. “Case received on June 19,2018. I got a mail for both of my parents on 360th day of waiting. I posted right yesterday right after I got it. I’m a new user here, and I’m sorry if I misunderstood what you meant.

Nice. Thank you so much for your information. I have been googling and reading. I will wait then, and hopefully they send us case numbers before we move to a new place. Thanks again!!

Hi, folks! I did a massive search on Case Tracker by switching internet servers of my private plan. And i could see a large range of July applications, at least until my PD date, that is 07/19/18. A lot of cases in the dates of 9, 13 and 16... And a little less in the others. I saw more RFE’s than approvals. Looks like they’re still in the very beggining of the month, as we can see in the VJ’s timeline. Let’s keep strong and faithful in this hard and long wait... Witch has been so difficult for all of us. 🙏🏻imageproxy.php?img=&key=ea9668e88603f7d4

How/where do you find this info? My case tracker doesn’t have this. It only has the date of them received the case and case number. But the picture you sent seemed have more detail. Thank you!

Thanks. For some reasons it said I had to contact admin due to multiple entries... do we need to use two different emails to do it? I just contact us, so don’t know what’s next. Dang, this is complicated for me.
