October 2017 I-129F Filers, Part II

Hello everyone! I finally signed up to just happily announce that today we got our case approved. I was very anxious during the past two weeks because my fiancé is from one of the travel banned countries but today we got the approval. We are one of the many Oct 2nd filers. For everybody out there waiting for their approvals, stay very positive after knowing even my complicated case has been approved! 

 

So what is next? When will be the interview day!? How do we get notify when and where is the interview? We have chosen Istanbul as our preferred US consulate for interview since there’s no US embassy in our home country! I hope I will receive the interview details by mail in California as well. I’m afraid the interview letter get lost if the US consulate is sending the letter to the beneficiary address only because there is no reliable shipping service to his home country as well.

The 17000s seem to be 10/13 cases. There are some approvals in that range too  Dont worry Meisha! There are relatively few cases touched when you consider the entirety of the month. It's waaay too early to get discouraged chickie!

I feel you. I think we all have the same feelings somewhere inside. I think it's worse for me with recognizable names because it feels like the people we "know" are moving on and we're still here, but realistically, there are oodles of quiet people who are still waiting right beside us. Hang in there, we'll get there <3  I've been giving myself the "they'll start the week of the 23rd soon" all week haha. The whole process is a downer for sure.

The case before mine got approved today.  I have to keep reminding myself that this is not a linear process.  My case might be with an adjudicator handling a number of different filing dates.  I hope everyone has a nice weekend.  As much as i hate weekends, i know i can be a little relaxed and try and live my present instead of focusing on my future.

I feel very fortunate that I was one of the early approvals, but also sad because most of you are still waiting. For what I've been seeing over the last months the situation has improved significantly if we compare it with the pre-Christmas time, so I'm pretty confident that most of you won't have to wait much longer to get that desired approval. Just hold on. As for me, I'll be here running the dialy scans as usual 

 

• Received date: 10/16
• NOA2 date: 4/12 (updated on new website at 3:30 am Cali time)

WE GOT OUR APPROVAL TODAY!

SENT 10-11-17

NOA1 10-16-17

NOA1 4-13-18

 

Approved in 179 days!

 

I got a notification from the case tracker thinking it was just a stupid update when I opened it it said case approved with confetti. I called my fiance immediately and balled my freaking eyes out with joy. I later checked on my second USCIS app it was updated now the new website is still showing my case was received. I expect to get something in the mail this week hopefully by Tuesday.

 

Hang in there guys...me and my fiance were just talking about this earlier and I said I knew we would be unlucky and be left behind still not hearing something after day 200 then 10 minutes after I got off the phone with him BOOM approval.
