I don't think there will be any problem as long as your fiancée makes enough money (above the poverty guideline). If you fulfill that requirement, the money you fiancée has in the bank isn't that important (although it never hurts to have some, specially if she is too close to that limit). I really don't think the embassy will check such information, they'll have a better chance to look at your financial situation when you adjust status

I think affidavit of support is after you get married in the state not initial state.

I have seen many who went through the process.

I wanted to share with you guys that...

:jest: We got approved!! :jest:

I feel very fortunate that I was one of the early approvals, but also sad because most of you are still waiting. For what I've been seeing over the last months the situation has improved significantly if we compare it with the pre-Christmas time, so I'm pretty confident that most of you won't have to wait much longer to get that desired approval. Just hold on. As for me, I'll be here running the dialy scans as usual ;)

  • Received date: 10/16
  • NOA2 date: 4/12 (updated on new website at 3:30 am Cali time)

Congratulations!!!!!!

I think he meant the I-134, the affidavit of support at the embassy stage

Congrats Daniel! Very happy for you!!

If at any time you want to some back up in the daily scanning department, I'm reasonably technologically savvy and would be happy to get the details on the scripts and help if you need it, just let me know!

Hi everybody,

I just wanted to post because I see a few people are getting frustrated as was I until I received our approval. I was actually approved last Friday the 6th but did not receive an email until Tuesday morning at 5:30 am. Old account and app still not updated. I was positive I would be waiting longer then most because of my criminal history when I was younger. I had to track down records from Tucson, Chicago, Detroit, St. Louis, etc... as well as a previous marriage and divorce. I was not exactly a pillar of the community when I was young. I actually expecting a NOID instead of approval.

My NOA1 was Oct.3rd, NOA2 April 6th. Well within normal processsing time. If you are getting frustrated, just relax and be patient. Your approval is coming. Good luck to all of you, and thank you for your scans and insight.

Wow! This is so comforting
