I believe the NVC is taking a little longer to receive and issue case numbers lately.  Ours took almost 3 weeks to be received.  We got our case number 6 days ago, and it's still "preparing to be sent" (so they tell me when I call to check).

They will likely receive it soon, and you'll have a case number shortly.  After waiting so long for the NOA2 with little expectations, it's hard to wait for something that's supposed to go much faster.

that’s true, i guess what scared me is that they said they dont see our case on their system. Thank you so much.

Sorry no I'm still sleeping didn't read you properly, obviously you looked at that.

I asked the same thing to my medical (I just called and asked them) They had different size on the website so it wasn't passport photos.

In addition to that in Japan the general background can be anything, so I accidentally had blue. and asked them if its ok, they said it doesn't matter, as long as the size is correct.

Awesome thanks! Lets hope for a rain of approvals today for everyone!!! Knowing my luck I'll get approved on Day 188 (Everything happens to me in 8s) *Currently on Day 177*

Got the NVC # yesterday along with this email. I don't recall requesting an expedite, regardless. How or does this change the process at all?

NOA1: 10-30-18
NOA2: 4-2-18
NVC#: 4-24-18 (Stated it would be sent to Emabssy this day as well)

It doesn't...

Some Embassies prefer Electronic processing of cases from NVC. So, NVC tends to put up the 'Expedite Statement'. I believe your Embassy is one.

You can check your Status, and contact your Embassy for Packet 3 (Status= Ready).

Can I ask when you received your NOA2? coz we just called USCIS now and they kind of snapped and told us that the minimum time we should expect it is 90 days. we then called NVC and they said 90 days

NOA2 3/29

NVC Received 4/17

I know it's frustrating to wait, but wait a little longer.  They say lots of time to give themselves leeway when it comes to processing etc.
