That can depend. First they will send the expired approval notice.

And then it will depend on which stage the case was.

But it can be as little as a week.

However, it can be an approval, or rfe if needed. (expedite does not stop rfe if needed)

PS_ sorry I didn'T realize the tag before... just took out the wisdom tooth this week, and medicine is keeping me mellow.... I am in a weirdly sleepy mode

Thank you @Naes You are as always wonderful.

But what do you mean by Expired Approval Notice? Or do you mean Expedite Approval Notice?

What do you suggest I can do at this point: day 195? Do you think calling and speaking to uscis tier 2 helps at all?

Would you tell me based on your experience? Thank you!

After they told us that our case was assigned. It took About 30 days to get it. They won’t give any information (and not all actually tell or see the info on assignment so I’m not sure if I believe them) and putting an inquiry is extremely risky. As it may cause a file to come back from NVC if it gets approved soon. (Also inquiries don’t really do anything)

my personal idea of stuck starts after the 2 week of them starting a new month. The first 2 weeks after they start a new month is usually golden for the previous month. So I would worry after that personally.(and that’s how I started to panic...)

onc they start a new month

Thank you for the insight!

The only thing that bothers me is when I spoke to tier 2 the first two times they said that its with an adjudicator and the last time which was yesterday I spoke to tier 2, she had no idea. I asked her specifically if she knew where my case is and she just said that it was already assigned when it was initially filed and doesn't know beyond that.

The use of language makes me nervous.

Theses people are lying, have no idea themselves... so why bother saying anything to us at all.

What questions did you ask or how did you word your questions?

Thanks in advance again.

I am not freaking out because I know I will get a reply...it's frustrating because my fiance who grew up in the UK as a temporary resident is now stuck in Pakistan..because we thought we would hear something back at this point.

We saw a few cases put inquiry and then got approved before inquiry completed, and the case called back from NVC because of the inquiry.

So as your cases are too close to approval, it is risky if you ask me (my instructions to my fiance was NEVER to put an inquiry - I also believe inquiry does NOTHING. I mean if it did people wouldn't be still waiting... the only thing an inquiry does is "inquire you about what's happening with your case" and that is a maybe... it will always have for example "pending background checks (which is bs because I know this coming to a member in June and 2 days later he was actually approved....and seriously you don't suddenly get approved from pending background checks...)" or they say it is assigned and give it 45 days... duh either way I'll give 45 days... )

I think you should just call because it will give you some relief even if the info you already know. I know how it feels well all of us do lol

I am gonna call again but not today... I just want to figure out how else can I word my questions. Because most of the time tier 2 is jus tg trying to get us off the phone

That happened to me too. once they said it was assigned and 3 weeks later they didn't know... apparently some can see some can't.. (or well.. some is better at bs)

I don't know about wording as my fiance is the petitioner. But I can say it was pretty similar to yours.I am also stuck in Japan... understand the situation deeply...

Gurl I've been rooting for you since I found this forum. You've helped a lot of people including me. I hope the rest of your journey is easy and fast.

Always in my prayers. And thanks for the info. It did help alleviate some of my worry. 😊
