guys, i got email this morning that there is update on my case. I  checked myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov website and our case is approved, but on the old website - it still says the same thing (received your case on Oct 6th, 2017).  The app is also not updated.

Has this ever happened? Is the new website accurate?  What happened here?

Congratulation!

It happens a lot actually. It seems that in some cases either the old or the new website don't get updated. Don't sweat! You got approved!

How to talk to a live person at USCIS?

Contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) at 1-800-375-5283.

Call early in the morning (8.00 am)

Option 1: Then dial 1, 2, 6, 2, 4 (exact sequence). Use these options every time you are prompted.

(You can also try - 1 - 2 - 1 - Case Number - 1 - 3 - 3 or 4)

Option 2: Call USCIS and Do not press anything (don't choose a language). They will think you have a rotary phone and will transfer you directly to a live person.

Option 3: Don't don’t choose the number for “case status”, but do different ones instead (for example “RFE”; “expedite your case”, …)

Option 4: Military Help Line: 1-877-CIS-4MIL (1-877-247-4645); Members of the military and their families may call to receive assistance with immigration-related questions.

If they speak Spanish just say English please. Now you can ask what you want.

Another method:

1. Dial the number.

2. Once it starts ringing, don't touch the phone, punch no buttons.

3. After 2 to 5 minutes, you'll be transferred to a Spanish Speaker.

4. Let the Spanish Speaker wind down, then Say, "English Please".

5. Once he/she gives the same spill in English, pose your question or ask to be transferred to an ISO, a Tier 2 Human.

I read this yesterday... maybe you need it....I made pic for remember it .... :)

" I called the main number and if you don't select any options and just stay silent they will think you are calling from a rotary phone and connect you directly with a service rep (they usually answer in spanish lol); then I just ask to speak with a Tier II officer and it goes from there...

Once transferred, and automated message comes on (this has always been my experience, maybe others have connected directly with a TIER II officer) and says you're placed in a call back system - so when an officer becomes available they will call you back; it's usually within a couple of hours. The number that popped up on my phone when they called back was 800-000-0000. When I answered, it was an automated message connecting me to an available Tier II officer and that was that..."

i just think there will be no problem in calling just 3 days after making an online inquiry
