What to do after NOA2:

After USCIS approves the petition, it is sent to the National Visa Center (NVC). The NVC will assign you a case number and send your petition to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where your fiancé(e) lives.

The NVC will mail/email you a letter when it sends your fiancé(e) case to the U.S. Embassy or Consulate. Once you receive this letter, inform your fiancé(e) to take the below-listed actions to apply for a K-1 visa and prepare for the interview.

***We got notification by email and the app updated, then we checked the website and it says APPROVED on the old site but not the new one. Yayyyyy! Hoping many more of you are in the same boat as us, and speedy approvals for all! (L):)

I just got off the phone with a Tier II officer (super sweet lady) who said that there was movement on my case 4/11; however, nothing has shown anything reflecting that movement on the app, old site and new site. She did say the case has been assigned....

 

Is this his good news?? Idk....

 

 

How are you able to get a person on the phone? I just tried twice and all I got after I entered my receipt #  was an automated message of when the case was received.

You have to press 2 and then pretend you dont know your receipt number and then press 2 again 

It will connect you to tier 1 and then politely request that they transfer you to tier 2 an immigration officer who can give you an idea more specific to your case. 

Then follow instructions for call back

I recommend calling tomorrow at 8am when they open

Just remember that people who have received approvals are in the minority of October filers. If you're still waiting, you're with most of the October filers. ;)  Everyone's time will come! Some have just had a bit more luck at the USCIS roulette wheel. :P
