Aunties has no basis for sponsoring a path to immigration for nieces and nephews

I did not say the aunt would sponsor her or  petition her in any way. What I meant to say is that since her aunt , according to the OP, seems to have has a pretty decent flow of cash then it would not be a surprise that this nice/nephew decides to overstay/live illegally in US, etc. The CO could see it this way for sure. Not saying that the OP will do this necessarily. But we all know how what the general presumption is regarding visitor visas.

As what has mentioned above you need to prove strong ties in the Philippines. My sister got her tourist visa last year and she is a high school student. She applied together with our parents tho, she brought her study load proving that she has to return in Philippines for her study. She was just asked by the CO about her school and grade. That's all. And by the way she did not wear her school uniform.

Indeed but "aunties" have been known to introduce visiting nieces to single men in the neighborhood or from their workplace.

sorry not being harsh but truth is

19 years old.. not so many ties to the home country .. wealthy US citizen auntie .. I say way too less chance my friend.

How did you auntie go to US? How many family members you have in US and how did they end up here?

I'm pretty sure those are possible questions the CO will ask during the interview. And I'd like to advise the OP one thing, do not lie to the CO (in the case they ask you) about having your aunt or any other close relative in the US. They know everything beforehand.

Let us know how it goes, and good luck.

The letter of invitation and your aunt's circumstances will have no impact on getting a tourist visa. From the DOS, which is responsible for all US embassies and consulates:

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html

"Note: Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a nonimmigrant tourist visa. If you do choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember that it is not one of the factors that we use in determining whether to issue or deny a nonimmigrant tourist visa."

If I was interviewing you I'd probably suspect you might want to work in your aunties hotel. It's going to be hard for you to overcome all those speculations with your ties to the country.

As others have said, your aunt's credentials will likely have no effect on your visa outcome. The decision for a tourist visa is typically based on the applicant's sufficient proof of ties to their home country, indicating they will be returning and not intending on overstaying in the US. I personally wouldn't wear a school uniform; it's not required, and may come off as "trying too hard" to prove your student status. It sounds as though you are in college - if you have classes scheduled and even paid for for your upcoming semester, I recommend bringing something related to that. This will show  you've made commitment, preferably financial commitment, to return and attend these classes after your trip. Any other ties to your country, such as any bills in your name or other appointments that may be scheduled after the fact, will also help.

Good luck!

Håll ut, y'all.

Hello Young Lady,

I share with you my experience that is a little bit similar:

I'm from DR and they gave me 10 years B1/B2 visa when i was 19 years old(My parent and sister don't have).

I almost though they wont approve, because i was young, single, bla bla...

SO (The place where i work is a US big company that have a lot of branches in Latam  and they needed that i take a training in the headquarter (placed in US)so After i read A LOT of forums. i decided apply to the consulate with these proofs:

-A letter of my college saying I'm actually taking classes and how long i have been studying there.

-bank's statement of my saving and check bank accounts

-My car  property letter and taxes.

- A letter of my employer where i was working more than 6 months and they were sponsoring my trip for training purposes in the company headquarter that is in US.

-invitation letter of the headquarter for the training.

--a letter of my scholarship that i was using for the college.

The officer ask me a lot of things like:

-if a live with my parents,

-my bank statements,

-talk about my job, how much is my income, how long i have been working there, they ask me for the letter, if they would sponsor all that etc...

-how i will use the training in my current job,

-if i had relative in US, if i had a boyfriend in DR,

-how long will be there,

-where i will stay,

-when i would finish college... if i have a car, which year( i dont know why that is important)

thanks god i wasn't nervous and the officer was kind and cool. The DR embassy is a difficult one, because  i have seen people older than me and with more tied and be denied...Also everybody though they would deny it or just issue an once entry Visa... But Thanks GOD!

So my personal advice is: find all the things u think should be  important and like the guys here  say if u paid your semester much better..show proof of that.. they need to see that u have strong reasons for come back to your country... I wish you GOOD LUCK ! AND Please let us know the results...

Sorry for my typos mistake in English! Still learning :D

It is likely to late to apply and process now but it sounds to me like you are applying for the wrong visa.  It seems like you should be seeking a J-1 summer work travel visa and then as a HRM  student you could gain experience legally working for the summer in the USA.  However,, that normally takes a couple of months to set-up.   Your Auntie could likely find a US company that would sponsor you but again I think your timeline to accomplish this isn't long enough.  If you want to pursue it consider reaching out to a company like First Place in the Phlippines or have your Auntie reach out to a company in the USA like UWT (United Work Travel) and see if there is anyway

You apply you find out.

Friends who have a Hotel use J's for summer help, something to think about.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”
