Hi:

I have the financial documents I-134 ready for my fiances interview. What is the best way to get it to her in Ukraine? I have send printed pictures before and one time they didn't get to her by snail mail USPS. Anybody has experience with the other carriers UPS, FedEX or DHL with sending packages? I have used the last 3 services before and they seem very reliable. Internationally I trust the USPS, but when it gets to Ukraine...not so much.

Thanks for any inputs.

Thanks. I am currently sending the packet for my fiancee's interview and cannot say it's delayed, but USPS said 3-5 days and I still don't have an update if it is in Ukraine or not.

April 2nd left local post office, last update says April 4th departed MIAMI international.

Can’t you just scan them and email them or so they require a wet signature?

My packet finally arrived in Kiev (KBP airport). Still not in the postal mail sistem in Ukraine. I am hoping the mail delivers it to her by Wednesday. I can say the U$D65 wasnt worth spending at USPS. First, no 3-5 delivery of letters and on top of that...so many delays. Next time I will use DHL or FedEX for international delivery.

This is Easter weekend in Ukraine, so I would not expect any updates from UkrPost/USPS till Tuesday. Monday is day off as well, so even if it gets registered in Ukrainian Post Office system, it won't be delivered till... sometime after Tuesday.. Wednesday, Thursday? :)

P.S. USPS packages/mails usually get to Ukraine within 7-10 days, regardless how much you paid for "quicker' delivery - still gonna be same 7-10, sometimes 14 days. That's what I was told by my local USPS Office. So I usually  use First class Priority mail. Trackable all they down there, insured and reasonable cost.

There are three options on website of the  US Embassy in Ukraine - ukr, rus and eng.

This is all I got from the tracking update so far:

Your item is being processed by customs in UKRAINE at 10:14 am on April 7, 2018.

I assume that the UkrPost is not going to work like the USPS 7 days a week to have mail being delivered internally. My fiancee also told me that her local town (Radushnoe) gets only delivery of mail 3 days a week. Saturdays there is no delivery and/or no post office open either.

On December 28, 2016, the Department of State announced that original or “wet ink” signatures are no longer required on Form I-864 Affidavit of Support for immigrant visa petitions. This new measure also applies to I-864 supplements such as the I-864A, I-864W, and I-864EZ. Beginning January 1, 2017 the National Visa Center will begin to accept photocopies and scans of signed I-864 affidavit of support forms. The I-864 will still need to contain the affiant’s signature, however the signature no longer needs to be a “wet ink” signature. Typed names and electronic signatures are not acceptable. Petitioners will be required to submit an amended I-864 form to the National Visa Center if the sponsor’s name and personal information is missing and there is no signature or missing pages. Petitioners who will need to send an amended I-864 will receive a “checklist” containing the information that must be corrected on form I-864. If you receive a checklist letter prior to January 1, 2017 asking for an original signature on form I-864 please contact the National Visa Center.

The above also applies to the I-134

This is all I got from the tracking update so far:

Your item is being processed by customs in UKRAINE at 10:14 am on April 7, 2018.

I assume that the UkrPost is not going to work like the USPS 7 days a week to have mail being delivered internally. My fiancee also told me that her local town (Radushnoe) gets only delivery of mail 3 days a week. Saturdays there is no delivery and/or no post office open either.

;) USPS doesn't deliver on Sundays and Holidays as well ;)

Besides, Easter is really big Holiday  in Ukraine . Like Christmas here.  The message you posted  means your mail "landed"  in Ukraine and still,  most likely, at the airport. I got the same msg today, at 10.52 a.m. ;) But after airport all items go to a Post facility in Kiev where they get sorted out and ready for delivery depending on an area in Ukraine. So, in best scenario, due to the Holidays and 3 days off, our items will be picked up from the airport and delivered to the Facility during the Holidays. Maybe someone even enter the info into the Ukrposhta system. But I doubt anybody is gonna do shipping and actual delivery before Tuesday.

You can track your mail in Ukrposhta as well. But I don't see mine there , yet. Only that it's been processed by Customs in Ukraine. . So, as soon as you see Ukrposhta recognizes your tracking number, that means the item left airport and at the Post facility now.
