Your online status should show the date that the case was sent to Department of State. If it doesn't, that means it has not been sent yet. Some service centres send very quickly while others take a few weeks.

Thanks for quick reply.

My service center is texas.

petition is IR 2

USC sponsering minor chiLd under 21.

So in how days should i be expecting case sent to nvc and secondly case number.

consulate will be islamabad so it should be pivot.

I can't tell you how many days it would take although I did read that Texas takes 3-4 weeks to send. Case number wise, it was taking around 8-10 weeks from the date NVC receives the case, but you could just check in here or even in the May filer thread when it opens to get a better idea, because things change.

If you are the only person he is sponsoring, you can use the i864EZ. It is shorter. 30K is beyond the minimum guidelines so it should be okie although there is never any guarantee.

Oh Thank You Got it ..

NVC is kinda working very slow!

Dont know why

30 days wait for just sending case and 8 to 10 weeks for assinging a damn case number for pivot cases.

USCIS got a huge increase in applications after the 2016 election, the NVC is now dealing with those applications and have also had to deal with a large increase. Yes it’s frustrating but we all need to have patience, the one positive thing is that when the NVC have the documents required that they are now processing them a lot quicker than previously. At least at the NVC stage there is progress every few days/weeks compared to the 6-9 month of silence when at USCIS!

If we all got a dollar each time we come across a lawyer screwing up, we would be rich soon...

Not a $1, you mean $100, they will make sure they don’t screw up.
