I'm in Central Florida as well. What lawyer did you use?

NeJame Law

Overall they've been very helpful. But I just feel because they're so busy they are slow.

Finally was assigned a case number - only took 12 weeks -_-

Paid both of the fees - we're a pivot case.

Waiting for the links to work so I can fill out the paperwork.

Coming up on a year since we started this process. So ready for it to be over

Hi Bluretto,

Any thought of this if it will get through? Was it similar with yours before like this here? In receipt section it shows " in process " but payment status shows " not paid "

IV verify.jpg

Yes dear,it payment status it showed not paid, but in payment receipt it showed in process...when did you pay?

May I know if documents can be mailed to NVC using courier companies such as FedEx and DHL? And whether it is ok for DHL or FedEx to get the recipient at NVC to sign for the package for tracking purposes, so that we will know that the package has reached NVC? Thanks.

Wau, bless your hearth. You have been waiting since Jan 10 ? (that is what your timeline says) That is excruciating!!!  I am waiting since Feb 1 and still no case number, some pivot cases got case numbers at 9, 10, 11 weeks now 12 with yours , I am almost at 11 weeks. Really NVC needs to be restructured, for future generations. It is so unfair for, I know that the pivot thing is exclusive to some embassies and that you get case complete faster ( winch right now does not matter) , but that has been going on for years now,  they should have made everyone equal on wait. .... I am so angry... i am trying to vent here ..... on top of it my beloved embassy is taking months to schedule interviews, I was really hoping to see my mother soon after 6 years, at this point I dont think I will be able to go to the interview. I hope everything turns around and things get better.  Anyways congratulations on your case number assignation!!! I hope you get an interview sooner than the average time.

It has been excruciatingly slow and no one had any answers. I spent hours on hold with the NVC for 3 minute phone conversations only to be told to be more patient.

I don't even know what the current wait time is for a Montreal interview.  I'm too afraid to look.

Thank you for your well wishes, I return them in your direction!

Thank you. it seems I had to have max of 5MB in each email :(

So I just resent the documents in two separate emails. However, I screwed up again and one of the emails totaled more than 5MB :( So I just resized the docs and resent the same email. Let's see what happens next!

it is stupid! Their instructions specifically say that EACH PDF, not each email!

yup, here is the list:

Method 2: Email Processing required

If your NVC case number begins with one of the following prefixes:

  • AKD
  • AMM
  • BGH (except I-730 petitions)
  • DMS
  • GZO

Those are email processing countries, not pivot. Pivot ones upload to CEAC. The official list was taken down several weeks ago- I believe it is because they’re adding more countries to the list and don’t wish to keep updating the website.

I think they are done scheduling for May...so its possible you won't hear from them until end of April. I thought I missed the cut off for May...but then I got the email on April 13th! But you can always call & ask about your specific embassy & see when you might hear from them.

Pivot case means your country's consulate handles the entire case electronically rather than through snail mail. Difference between that and regular case is that the case number takes much longer to assign (looks like 8-11 weeks right now for pivot)

Please update spreadsheet with timelines for case number assignment... https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe1EpL3DRn848N3DkuFdSDcvjdiMYxLSXRSpse1mH0k13rioA/viewform?fbzx=1023277948343724800

is Nigerian Embassy among pivot case? tried looking up for the information but I couldn't. Thanks
