I need an advice. We already submitted all documents, but in 864 form questions which don’t apply to me I left blank. Now I’m reading people getting checklist for that. I called nvc to ask if I need to pull 864 form out and change it, they say not. Don’t want to have checklist for that but also don’t want to lose scan date. Any suggestions?

Hi ,

sorry to interrupt in between .....

I´, sorry that I didn´t answer, I´m now seeing it, well, the VJ user that answered you, was right.

Now you can expect :

Welcome Letter

Case Number asignation.

Don´t worry , inthe E-mail they say all the instructions!

Timeframe from Receive to Interview is , like well said the VJ user, from 3 to 5 months!

Hint: NVC is speeding up, the Case number step is a little delayed BUT once they assign, everything else goes smooth and fast.

Things stops again once you reach case completed and ready for an interviewm then you have to wait untill appointment letter (Interview date)!

Would you happen to know which menu option I would choose in order to be connected with someone who will review the DS-261?

I don’t think it’s really matters as long as you get a voice! My wife happened to call regarding something else and the representive offered to review the DS-261 over the phone there and then, as she was acting as the agent.

Hi everybody,

Thought I would share this: so I just called again for our case number (we're in week 7 now, and they still don't have one :( ), and the operator told me that last week, they finished assigning case numbers to CEAC cases received in January.

He also said that once you hit the eight-week mark, they can escalate and send the case to a supervisor. I'm hesitant to do this; it'll just be a new line and they'll take another six weeks, right?

Spoiler

I think the supervisor is a fictitious body; it doesn’t matter if u escalate to the supervisor or not. I think they finished January last Thursday.

You will get it about 9 weeks after you received it. You can send it to supervisor can not it doesn’t change anything.
