So does this mean that the original documents that will be carried to the interview are only that of the beneficiary and only photocopies of the petitioner’s documents including tax returns etc?

You still need originals of the petitioner’s financial documents, to the best of my knowledge.

Your best solution is to call the embassy you are interviewing at to ask.

I think the tax returns can only be copies...as the original was filed with the IRS. You can’t tell IRS transcripts as original or copies, so it wouldn’t matter.  The I864 needs to be original though.

If there are other documents like employment letter and pay stubs, I believe those should be originals. As for the i864, it seems people have been ok with copies at the interview, if it’s even asked for.

I called NVC and said photocopies are fine I also checked NVC’s website and it said originals of beneficiaries documents and scanned and photocopies of petitioners documents

Do I also need originals for passport and naturalization certificate?

@NilsaAnil21 took my husband little over 2 months just to get an appointment letter. Still waiting for his visa :(

Update your timeline.

I'm still waiting on our attorney to submit our AOS papers...he's had it for almost 3 weeks now! I'm feeling so depressed.

Okay, thank you!

The NVC rep I got/asked about the length of validity for the UK police certificate length of validity asked her supervisor and they said they believe 6 months even though I don't see it on the certificate saying that, I feel I can't trust we won't have trouble with it in case whoever reviews it also deems it expired after 6 months :/ he's already ordered another police certificate but I just wish I was able to mail the packet right this moment considering I have his 7 month old one on hand and am ready to mail it otherwise...

Anyway thanks again :)

I’m pretty sure the ARCO is valid for 12 months, I’ve seen this issue pop up before. So I would say post off your documents to NVC. The worst that can happen is they give you cc for updated ARCO which you will already have by then!

I can't believe he hasn't sent it yet!! I would be livid...you could've had a case complete by now! Is it possible to just get them back & send them yourself? I know you paid him, but at this point there's nothing he can do that you can't do yourself & probably better!

I totally agree with this, every official source I have seen regarding ACRO certificates say they are valid for 12 months.

1) Has the amount been deducted from your bank account?

2) When you click on 'pay now', there should be some kind of summary of the payments made at the top. The first time I paid IV fee, it was 'rejected' and it showed up as that. No money was taken from the bank account, so I simply paid again. See if that's the case for you?

3) If none of the above helps, have someone who can help you call NVC do so to ask?

Yesterday I paid and got transaction reference on the top and showed " in process " then today I got another email from NVC the same one as yesterday. I log in CEAC and saw saying " pay now " but the transcation reference still there " in process " in receipt section. I just sent an email to NVC the only tool I can communicate through. :(

Wait for their reply then. I am just astounded how bad the electronic system can be... :(

Give it time same thing happened to me,I called them and explained it to them but the told me not to pay again that even if it says pay now it’s still in process,I checked 2days later and it changed to paid and money was also deducted from my husbands account, click on the pay you will see payment receipts see if the iv fee says in process if does then give it time say 2-3days it will clear and show paid.
