Hi everyone, I received my case number today! I am so happy! my case is electronic I entered and tried to pay the fees. just told me to try later, can anyone help me with this? It is normal that is what is the next step since it is different from the old process that was done by the post office.   and I did not have to choose an agent asked to pay the rates first Thank you 🤗

Just recieved an email from nvc asking for the scan copy of results from irs questionnaire do I need a tax return site. My spouse did not file a tax return for 2016 because he gets ssdi. Is a tax return necessary because the social security site states that he does not have to pay taxes if he receives less than $25000 he receives less than half of this.

Method 4: Mail processing

If none of the above methods apply to your case, mail your financial forms and evidence, supporting documents, translations, and photocopies, along with the Document Cover Sheet included with your NVC Welcome Letter, to the following address:

'along with the Document Cover Sheet included with your NVC Welcome Letter' = the Document Cover Sheet that came with your NVC letter. If they wanted the Welcome Letter, they would say 'along with the Document Cover Sheet AND your NVC Welcome letter'.

 

*NVC filer mode* 

There is nothing else in the Welcome Letter that they could possibly want. Why would they want a copy of their own instructions? All they care about is knowing what you have enclosed in the package and a page with a bar code so that they can scan in. And that bar code is on the Document Cover Sheet.

 

Anyway, if you are worried, just send in the Welcome Letter as well. I can't see how that would be a problem anyway.

Oh sorry mine is still not two weeks I just checked sd and calendar

However my s/d - April 2rd 

Checklist -  April 5th

today I believe I would get s/d 2

So hoping by next week to get cc by this week would be amazing but I doubt I would get

Hello, do I need a proof of domicile if I live in the United States? If so what could I use for proof? My drivers license? A w2?

If you, the petitioner lives in the US, you don't need proof of domicile, because the US is already your home. Please read the NVC guide here: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

for me both were available immediately but ive heard some people have  to wait... call nvc and ask

I had to wait 11 weeks to have a case number. And today 12/04 I received an email from nvc

Congrats to everyone who received CCs or case numbers recently!

 

Sadly, there is no progress for me. Still no case number  The NVC rep gave me the same story over the phone quite unsympathetically. Tomorrow will be beginning of week 11. So so tired of it all.
