yeah - so total false hope on my side. I called for a second time today and that particular rep wouldn't even tell me my case was "online" - just said that it is indeed at the NVC but haven't issued a case number yet, they are backed up, etc etc. I don't trust anyone anything they say anymore.

Only if I had a dime for every time I’ve heard the “we’re backed up” story. Sigh. We’ll get there. I keep reassuring myself that we’ve covered the most distance. The rest will be done soon too. Or so I keep hoping.

Hi All,

Our case was approved by USCIS on 29th Dec last year. They notified us mid Jan that the case has been sent to NVC. I emailed NVC after the suggested 4 weeks and they said that yes they received it from USCIS (this was on 16th Feb). However, still waiting for welcome letter. It has been 8 weeks since NVC responded to my email saying that they received my case. Does anyone know what the expected wait is at this point (Texas) ?

Thanks,

Michael

From ur timeline, urs is Australia which makes it a pivot case. Call NVC and press 1 for English then 5 for pivot.  Ask them for when they received your case...it will take more than 8 weeks from that date.

i have been waiting for 10 weeks and nothing yet.

Quick update, everyone. My AOS fee was paid on 3 April and IV fee on 5 April and both just showed up as paid. So it shouldn't take 10 days as NVC claimed.

10 weeks waiting for my case and invoice number as well! Called nvc yesterday and they told me I've should get it by Tuesday, 17. Called them today and another person said I should get it maybe in a couple weeks... Couple weeks?!! I think I read in somewhere NVC is taking 8 to 11 weeks to create a case number for pivot cases. Is this deadline real or do we really need to wait forever without any prediction?

My I-130 got approved on April 5th and uscis hasn't notified me if they sent it out to NVC. I bet it will take weeks. I haven't even began my NVC process and I'm already stressed about the waiting time just by reading all the posts here sayin it'll take 10 weeks or more. I really thought pivot cases would only be 4-6 weeks since it automatically goes into the system. I don't think the embassy in the Philippines will have pivot cases.

We need to form a support group for all of us at or over 10 weeks....when we get our case numbers, we should all pop a bottle where ever we are.

This process is very draining and stressful :( I do not know what happened to my case, but I guess I got super lucky and hopefully things go smooth the next few weeks!

My case was approved mid december and it was received by the NVC on Feb. 13th! After calling a few times, I was able to get the case sent to a supervisor and a case # was assigned on March 15th!

My case is a both a pivot and email processing since it starts with DMS.

wish you all good luck guys, hang in there.

Why do I even call? Just got the same story. “It has been over the time frame so we sent your case to the supervisor for review. It can take up to 6 weeks for supervisor review.”

10 weeks since NVC received our case. 10 weeks of nothing besides despair. I should be strong enough to stop calling. This is not good for my mental health. Not that not calling will be. Ahhh :(

I just called too. You spoke with Daphne? That was exactly what she told me 10 minutes ago...I don’t even know why I bother calling either!
