GUYS!! Okay so I don't know if this is true or not (please confirm if anyone got the same story) but I was told when I called just now that I should be getting a case number by Friday Midnight!! Which would be 10 weeks since NVC received and one week from when it was placed "online". Got invoice number already so just waiting on the case number. I don't know if I fully believe this timeline but was shocked that I was given any kind of date or info because when I called yesterday she said she couldn't offer any additional info.

 

Anyone have insight?? Trying to stay hopeful & positive

I think someone from Turkey with a receipt date after urs got their case numbers last night.  You may want to double confirm this and use this as an argument.

 

i hate to burst your bubble of joy, but I was told that I should be able to get it by last Friday but nothing....before, they told me all inputted and been in line for case number since March 30th. Then this lady today said some information is inputted but some hasn’t. I don’t know who to believe anymore.

UGH, what a nightmare. I don't understand how it could take that long. Seems like this electronic processing is way less efficient than the standard method.

 

And about the case from Turkey before me - is it on the spreadsheet? Just checked there but didn't see any update from the other case...

Oh wait - just went back into the thread and found. yes Feb 8th was the receive and also a month after us was approval from USCIS. I don't understand the system.

Exactly...I called and they said cannot compare case with another case...u have the same embassy so I don’t understand how it is not comparable.

 

dont get me wrong...I am happy for the person who got the case number, but just frustrated at NVC.

Completely understand... I also think service center of I-130 has a lot to do with it. Because they are sent in batches from one place. I don't know the system for once they get to NVC but I would guess service center and pivot/not-pivot are important factors more so than embassy.

US Embassy in Jamaica... hoping they will schedule the interview soon after CC.

Oh sorry mine is still not two weeks I just checked sd and calendar

However my s/d - April 2rd 

Checklist -  April 5th

today I believe I would get s/d 2

Hi everyone!

 

I just received my NOA2 last Tuesday April 3rd so I know I still have some time to wait but I want to get a head start on things and I had a few questions about Form I-864

 

I'm petitioning for my husband who is in DR right now. I currently live with my mother but she does not claim me on her taxes. My mother DOES claim my sister who is currently away in college. My annual income IS enough to cover 125% of the poverty level guideline for a household size of 2 but not for a household of 4. 

 

Questions:

 

1. Since my household size is 4 would I need to submit I-184 for myself and I-184A for my mother?

2. If so, where would I include my sister as my mother’s dependent since I didn't see anywhere for this on the I-184 A?

 

OR

 

1. Am I able to just submit I-184 for my husband as his only sponsor since I do meet the requirement for a household size of 2?

 

Any clarifiction would be greatly appreciated, Thank you !
