Hello Everyone,

Please am sending in my k1 package by next week, but  I have a question..I read that since the new I-129f form is 13 pages, it already contain the Biographic information.  Meaning the   G-325a form is no longer required,

Is this information valid?

Did anyone of us who has filed added or omitted this G-325a  bio form?

8 weeks since NOA2, and 5 weeks since NVC received waiting for a case number.  Awesome to anticipate it'll be another 3-6 to get a stupid number after having waited 6 months for a piece of paper to show up in the mailbox.

Truthfully, I ought to stop stalking this thread for my own sanity, but it's the drug you can't kick and the process that makes you sick.

I've stopped calling. Not in a long time has something made me feel so depressed, hopeless, helpless and on some days, even suicidal. It's a great way to torture someone, put their life on hold for a year by throwing them into what's effectively a jail. Fire up the cheering squad woo.

SOOOO Turns out my case is an enigma at the NVC! I called again today..for those of you who know my case I got through to Leah again!!! 4th time now! (I swear I am going to write a book at the end of all this). I had called her yesterday to ask her what I should do with my AOS and IV Packet since I never received the cover letter. She told me I could mail them in with the barcode on the DS-260 confirmation page and the other respective cover sheets. I mailed them in-it was delivered to NVC this morning. Now today I get an e-mail from NVC as a response to an old email to change consulates (ABD to BMB-aka PIVOT to non-pivot), asking me to UPLOAD all my documents!

I call back NVC again..and Leah picks up! Thank you God for placing that woman in NVC for me! AS soon as I tell her my case number and the rest of the information she goes "we've been talking about your case!! Everyone here knows about your case" She proceeds to tell me this is a first that someone has to go from pivot to non-pivot and its a little tricky and that there are people telling her I should mail it in and there are people telling her I should upload it. So she tells me to go ahead and upload it and that the problem will be when I get my CC, they will have to manually send my case to Mumbai or else it will get stuck in the queue for an interview!

I just wanted to put this out there for anyone who is going to go through this same issue later...lol I can't help but laugh at this at this point

I suppose the good thing to come out of this is that whoever you reach at NVC in future will already know your story so you can save on telling it again? I am sorry for laughing but it's just the way that you have written it that made it so funny!

Hey...How come I never get to to talk to her?  She seems helpful....

I have talked to like at least 20 different people at NVC!

I am sure at the end of this and as we look back, this will be all a joke!

Cheer up!  I have been waiting for 10 weeks since NVC received and almost 3 months since NOA-2....

It is torture, but we will live through it.  Keep calm and carry on!

Don't get upset. Be patient I know its hard to because I just went through this. But what really sucks is that after all this waiting.. there's more waiting ahead. After you get Case number you'll go through the payments fairly quickly maybe 3 weeks but then another 4 weeks to get CC and now here I am 1.5 weeks since CC no sight of Interview date yet. According to timelines at least another 3 weeks for an interview date and then interview sometime in June. So take it easy and try to keep your mind busy with something else. Good luck to all of us

Guys quick question: how long does it take from the moment you get a case number to case complete for a regular case? No pivot, no expedition, one checklist and sending AOS and IV in a package to NVC.

2 months roughly with NO checklist. Maybe 2.5 months with the checklist. I did not get a checklist and it took a few days short of 2 months.

Is Leah a very kind elderly sounding woman? If so I have definitely talked to her before. She literally took half an hour when I called to see if they had assigned my case number. And went through the WHOLE PROCESS. She even told me get a note book and a pen I'll wait in line. And had me write everything she was telling me. And I'm glad I did it helped.
