A helpful link that will give you a really good process overview: http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/NVC_Process

I also came from Texas Service Center and they take quite a while to actually send the document approval to the NVC. So, unfortunately you have some additional waiting to do. You will see your USCIS case status change to indicate when the documents are actually sent. And then you need to allow 1-2 weeks before calling NVC to see if they received the documents. Reading this wiki page definitely helped prepare me for the process though!

Thanks a Lot.

Its really heLpful link.

I hope NVC process will not be painful like uscis!!!

Now you have to wait about 6 weeks for USCIS to send your file to NVC and then about 9 weeks for NVC to assign case number.

Its a long wait!

After waiting a long time for uscis still this wait for nvc!

Hi everyone, Any Nigerian in the house? Please kindly give me information on how i can get a police report. I reside in Enugu state. Is there a way to get it without actually traveling to either Lagos or Abuja.

Yes. Go to the Police headquarters in Enugu. You will get the same pcc only that u would get it within 3-5 days instead of same day.

I live in Portharcourt and I got mine here without having to travel anywhere.

Thank you so much for the quick response. I just came back from the police station now and they said 20k. Didn't expect that. How much was yours from PH?

I am following yours as I am one day behind you, so I am at 10 weeks Wednesday. You should be really close as I saw Jan 29th getting case numbers yesterday.  We should keep each other posted.
