Keep calling, I called like everyday for a month and asked to speak to a supervisor at this point. they said they will follow up, instead I got the case number and what not.

I can't honestly say how it works. It might be due to the country and being a ceac case

I have been calling everyday...if not, twice a day.  We r all CEAC cases...

I don’t think it works like that but you’ll get yours soon at least u can see ur close to getting ur case number

I am thinking whether or not I need to be stronger in my conversations with them.

I asked if i could talk to a supervisor but they said they already put a note for supervisor on March 29th n they have 6 weeks to respond. I really hope it doesn’t take until early May to get a case number!

I also came from Texas Service Center and they take quite a while to actually send the document approval to the NVC. So, unfortunately you have some additional waiting to do. You will see your USCIS case status change to indicate when the documents are actually sent. And then you need to allow 1-2 weeks before calling NVC to see if they received the documents. Reading this wiki page definitely helped prepare me for the process though!
