Hi

I've question it says for Appointment for immigration packet - you need to have passport with 8 months remaining. Is it true if it is 6 months they won't accept it?

Any ideas about it?

Greetings!

My Annual income is less by $ 527 to the minimum Federal poverty Guideline for my household size. I choose to use my assets ( All my balance of Saving and Checking accounts), how much to the minimum should I have to fulfill the income requirement. Your input is highly appreciated!!

3X of the shortfall. So that would be 3X$527=$1581

You do mean you are $527 short of meeting the 125% of federal poverty guideline requirement right? Not $527 to reach 100%?

They said they are having system problem. They have seen couples people calling about this problem, so I think they are aware of it now. But why us? So stressful

I was told 3 times to this amount. There would be a judgement call with the consular officer. Someone mentioned that I better to have $10,000 instead lol

Murphy's Law has never been truer than in this whole immigration process! I have learnt that anything, ANYTHING, can go wrong. And is likely to go wrong.

I wonder what else the CO looks at. My husband is over the 125% guideline, but I was wondering. I did read somewhere that someone was over the guideline by a few hundred and still was asked to find a joint sponsor. Would the beneficiary's education level, potential employability etc. be a factor, you think?
