NVC Filers - April 2018

To whom who just recently paid your fee (AOS or IV), please let me know when your status change into “paid” ( which should be 2-3days) because I have paid my IV fee a week ago, and it is still not processed yet. I just want to know if it is my case problem or their system problem. Thank you so much.

I just checked and money is already taken out of the bank account for AOS (I paid that yesterday) but the status is still 'In process'. I am going to wait another couple of days and then call them if it doesn't change. It does seem like the only way to get things moving in NVC stage is to call! Will update :)

Yes, that's correct. I have seen this for the document cover sheet in fee payment section but for the welcome letter I couldn't find any so maybe via email? They emailed me an inquiry attached with the case & invoice numbers without welcome letter I can suppose. Let's wait until they send me another email with the IV application, maybe?

I have been calling since Monday (the $ was taken from my account on Saturday), they cannot do anything. They said wait until a week which is today. And I called this morning, they said I need to email them about the problem, and I would take them 2-6weeks to answer the email. It is do sucks to stuck with the fee payment after a long wait of case number.

I would say, if you have a document cover sheet, you can send off your IV and AOS packages without waiting. The email they sent with an attachment containing the case and invoice number is the welcome letter. After you submit the DS-261 they will send you another email to pay the IV fee, and that email contains an attachment with the same document cover sheet anyway. So I wouldn't waste time waiting around :D

You can call and ask them to resend the welcome letter.

It sucks, yes. Have you sent your AOS and IV packages? At least those can get moving first while they sort out the problem. It's just that without the payment getting through you can't do the DS-260, but everything else can move :D

I sent them, they confirmed that they have received it. However, it won’t get in line for review until the IV fee is cleared and DS260 is completed.

Yea, that sucks they emailed me an attached inquiry I requested for the case & invoice number. Bummer, they didn't email me the welcome letter in the first place. I can email them back because I can not hear or speak to make a phone call :mellow: so anyways, thank you so much again! :D

Don’t email them. They take forever to reply the email. Call them, they will send it to you rightaway. I did that.

I know how frustrating it can be when they only respond to calls! I have a friend for whom I have had to call and make gynae appointments. You are most welcome, and let us know if there's anything else we can help with :)
