Yes and yes. It took 2 days for payment to clear and then the DS-260 was unlocked at the same time. We completed and submitted the same day.

Oh man, I hope she's not right! I saw on your timeline that's he'll interview in Afghanistan. Have you tried searching on here to see how long it's taking people to get interviews? That doesn't seem right...and even if she is right, then all the more reason to send it ASAP!!

I've tried searching here if there are others who will interview in Afghanistan but couldn't find any recent ones. So far our process has been relatively on time or sooner then expected. Like our NOA2 was at 6 months verses the 9 months our lawyer told us it would be. My PD is July 10 2017. Is it possible that an interview would be given after the PD?

And according to others here on VJ it takes about 4-6 weeks for CC and perhaps another 4 weeks for interview... Am I correct?

All in all I just want the documents sent soon.

Happy to hear that you got your welcome letter, what did you do to expedite ?

For expedite, I sent email to NVCExpedite@state.gov and listed several several reason why our case should be expedited, with medical being primary reason. I included medical documentation for proof of the situation.

When emailing for expedite you need to include Case # or USCIS receipt # in the subject line and in the body of email provide Petitioner information and  Beneficiary information in similar format as follows  then state reasons for expedite.

Petitioner Name:
Date of Birth:
Email Address:
Mobile number:

Beneficiary Name:
Date of Birth:
Country of Birth:
Foreign Address:
Email Address:
Mobile number:
Telephone number:

hey when u finish ur ds 260, do u have option to email a copy to print later or u have to print that very time? my personal computer doesnt have printer so not sure if i finish there and print later or should i complete on work laptop so i can print right away?

I can't remember if there was an option to email...I printed it as soon as I finished it. I would wait until you have access to a printer before you finish just in case.

The only time that will vary is the wait for interview, since every embassy is different. But yes, the NVC review right now is pretty quick...4-6 weeks if not sooner. But some people wait 4 weeks for the interview date & ive seen some wait 3 months...just depends on the embassy.

I sent out evrything they asked for in March and had a scan date of 03/26 does it stay like that until case closes? I called NVC to make sure that was all they were asking for and they told me that i had followed all steps and that i just needed to wait up to 6 weeks to get case review
